Yeah, good point - I will wait for the subsequent runs also!
Yeah, I'm moat likely going to wait a bit to pick this up, too. Not necessarily for the second or third run, but at least till enough people have this first release in hand. I'll read the reviews and their impressions, and if it seems okay I'll go ahead and get it. If not, I'll wait. I just want Roy's VF-1S and Hikaru's VF-1J...
....no head seam down the middle. GLORIOUS.
Man, Yamato is really milking the VF-1. First they release a dozen or so waves of the same valks of 148 and now the 1/60s. I wish they'd put their resources into making new valks. And if you're listening Yamato, I'll pay good money for a VF-11, VF-0D, and a VF-III.
Yamato only has the license for M+, M0, and SDF Macross, so you won't see them branch out too far.
Yeah, I can't blame them and the problem is QC. The trend is to buy the subsequent runs - after the QC problems have been resolved. For the price I'm paying for them, I expect them to be durable but at least its still not as bad as Toynami! XD I've gotten rid of all my 1/48 valks but if the QC on the 1/60 is good, I will bite!
Oh yeah, I would love to see Yamato give use some of the enemy mech - I would go INSANE!!!
I still want a VF-4.
VF-11B - Macross Plus
VF-0D - Macross Zero
I can see them doing the VF-11 in the near future but I really doubt they'll do a VF-0D.
And it makes sense that Yamato would want to keep all their Macross mecha in the 1/60 scale. The 1/48 mold is actually getting on in years so I guess a revamp seems necessary to them?
Well, to all those who are disappointed that Yamato only has limited rights to the Macross series, we can somewhat rejoice that Bandai has the license to make the toys off the new show. From what I've seen, the Macross Frontier toys are in the same vein as the Soul of Chogokin series, and this is good news.
Yeah. I definitely trust Bandai when it comes to collector oriented expensive diecast robots. The other guys? Not so much.
Yeah. I have NEVER in my life had my heart rate increase from playing with a Bandai toy. With the Yamatos, I lose 10 years off my life each time I transform their Valkyries. Well-engineered works of art? Most definitely. Poorly QC'd and easily broken by staring too hard? Most definitely.
NEWER production photos are out!
Why does the head have red arrows like Hikaru's VF-1S instead of the proper yellow?
I can only say one thing: DO WANT.
Hmm, it does look good but I will still stand by my decision to only buy after the reviews of others.
