I'm pretty excited, even if my wallet is not. I really dig the proportions moreso than the 1/48, so put me down for at Roy's VF-1S.

This is such a great time to be a Macross fan.

We have a new tv series to celebrate the 25th Anniversary and an assortment of NEW VF's coming in 2008 from Bandai AND Yamato.

Yamato has officially released photos of their NEW 1/60 VF-1(S). I'm in love.

Doesn't look quite as slick in fighter mode, looks a little better in battroid mode than the 1/48 as far as proportions are concerned.

But, I'm a firm believe in the line art being BS as macross 7 is my favorite series so far, and they were all the same size. I'll stick with the 1/48 vf-1 valks.

How big is the 1/60? And a size comparison to a TF figure would be good too.

eh, the 1/60s are about the size of robovision prime in robot mode, a bit bigger than Starscream (G1) in fighter mode.

Very cool but I still prefer the look of the 1/48 in fighter mode. I'll still pick up a few but scale means little to me.

Thanks for posting the new pics!!

Sounds like a good size to me. Are the current 1/60 add-on packs going to work with these new ones or are they going to release new versions?

    Here's the 1/60 VF-0S and YF-19 alongside Masterpiece Starscream.

The NEW 1/60 VF-1's will be significantly smaller when next to those two beasts.

Just saw those new official images over at MW... amazing. Can't wait till we see the others in the lineup. Roy's VF-1S is nice, but I really want to see Hikaru's VF-1J from the series or his VF-1S from DYRL. A new Stealth would rule, too.

    Agreed.

I actually more stoked about the new VF-1D, Superostrich, and Elintseeker that'll eventually be made.

Since Yamato seems to be sticking to the 1/60 scale it COULD lead the way to my favorite......the VF-4 Lightning III.

Don't care too much about the VF-1D, though it would be cool, but i definitely want a Superostrich and Elint Seeker. But really, I want a Stealth! That's still my favourite colour scheme, canon or no.

The one maked 1/55 is the same size as G1 Jetfire and the 1/60 is close to the size of MP Starscream if that helps

True. But if you are talking about regular VFs (not zero), they are smaller as they are smaller compared to the 1/60s you show there. I cannot wait to get my Focker zero, but I traded my YF-19 to a guy on Macross for a 1/48 VF-1J Focker w/ fast packs. Just couldn't get into the mold.

But I cannot wait for these new ones. I love my Ivanov and my 1/48, and hope they at least make the stealths as Boo stated.

Thanks to Graham (from Macrossworld) for the new scan.

Fast Packs have already been made for the new 1/60.
