I came across my first XP boosting match in conquest today.

The guys were just continuously trading node B, so I just went around, captured nodes A & C then proceeded to kill all the enemy.

Boosted my XP up quite nicely  


They were not happy.

 

They never are, good to keep destroying them as you find them though.

 

Yeah, it was fun hearing them complaining on their mics.

 

I was in a boosting match during the first double xp weekend. Just one rouge scout sniping us, but we were trading node A and C on Orbital Debris. I'm unsure of the math but 300 points say every 20 secs trumps getting kills for 100 a piece.

 

It's probably a good way to get the top rank MVP trophy, no?

 

go that scout! i'm sorry but i find stat padding to be jerkish, but hey, they could be top level, but they are still noobs since they haven't actually played and honed their skills, they are prime mode level 25 but only have the skill of a level 0 scientist  

 

Probably, but you would have to do something to put you over the top of your team, if you're all doing the same things (capturing nodes and no kills). I did pretty easily with soldier using whirlwind around a bunch of people sticking near the node.

Yea that scout was last on his team during that boosting match.

Whatever gets you closer to level 25 is ok in my book. The perks at those high levels are so unbalanced, Rage for Leaders are the first to pop in my head. Boosting just saves people time, I don't think it necessarily reflects on their playing ability.

 

I was in the lobby waiting for a Conquest match to start today and one of the other players was trying to give instructions to all of us on how to boost. He wanted both teams to head to node B, one team would take it, then move off and allow the other team to take it.

I stayed in the game long enough to whirlwind the other team off the node before quitting. I found it very gratifying!  

 

Now you have nothing to show for it if you quit.

Yes. Tonight I got a voice message inviting me to a boosting session from some guy. I was going to avoid him, but it wouldn't let me. He wasn't on my list of people I've played. How the hell did he get to me?

 

I got the same message.

 

That one's an easy trophy to get.

All this complaining is awesome.

 

I couldn't help but chuckle at this. Its the soldiers default ability and it works really well for something you don't aim. Very annoying when your not expecting it.

Ran into a version of conquest that glitched out. Everybody was on Autobot model the names red lighted like a regular deathmatch. For double xp weekend I guess someone had tripped it so they could get a deathmatch with nodes.

Really we spawned as a team at the gate. And then there is this soldier standing next to me sure that I'm friendly and I'm like: "Your lit up as a enemy, but your a autobot like me?!" So I melee him and collect experience.
That was a awkward moment.

Also stumbled into a match with the minimum four players. That was a lot of fun, even if the field was dead quiet. Jeting a tank around wakes up the dead.

I got to whirlwind a bunch of douchebags - I call that a win. The wails of protest I heard before leaving the match were just gravy.
