My expectections have gone up quite a bit since all the gloom and doom warnings before. I think either A) Early Expectations based on paraphrase comments were wrong B) It was too soon to judge or C) Avid bisch slapped the director and told him to get his act together

No, I believe that pointy-headed one was a mutant called Quill. At least, that's what I heard.

Ok, after watching the trailer I think I might have been wrong in my first assesment when I heard which director had taken over.

However, I am still cautious as a trailer doesn't represent the whole movie, but my hopes have been lifted.

It's funny. My hope for the Superman film is pretty much extinguished, but my thoughts for this is that it's going to be as good as X2.

Tricky camera work and CGI. For some shots he can just be filmed from a funny angle that makes him look 10 feet tall. For normal shots film him, then isolate him in the shot. Blow up that image and superimpose him over his original.

    Hot damn.

This project definitely gets a three *squee!* rating from me, and I am the most skeptic of beings since Singer left the project...

    Can't wait 'til May :rock

As for Juggernaut's size...just think of the Hobbits in LOTR, but in reverse.

I too am impressed by this new trailer. Does anyone remember how some of the early X2 trailers stunk? Then the movie came out and I really, really enjoyed it. If this is the last of the X-Men movies, it looks like we're going out with a big bang.

But I still wish Singer was directing...

    Again I say:

If the movie is as good as the trailer, I'm thrilled. But I'll still try not to get my hopes up.

This trailer is everything that the Superman Returns teaser isn't.

Oh man I'm pumped about this movie. Kelsey Grammar looks to be an excellent choice.

Thanks for that link! Looks pretty good, but some lines seem to be delivered without much passion, like they rushed and settled for the first couple of takes for a scene. My favorite parts were Angel flying out of the building and Juggie running through the walls.:rock  Was that hottie at the end Psylocke?

Heh, I still think it looks pants.

The trailer *is* good though, but its not like you can go wrong with monologues from McKellen and Stewart.

They seem to have incorporated the basic plot for Astonishing X-Men #1-6 for the movie, with the mutant cure being based on some individual mutant. Also, Storm's hair is like in Ultimate X-Men, and Dark Pheonix (I think that was Jean standing beside Magneto in the woods.) is reminding me of Illyria from Angel.

A lesbian coworker mentioned to me that she thinks one of Jean Grey's new powers must be to give her a boner.

    I laughed.

i cant wait, ill be at the midnight showing with at least a dozen people...im so exctied...and i hope this isnt the end of the xmen movies...theres so many characters and plots to take hold off...they should just do them in sections, like make another trilogy abot apocalypse, then another about young xmen, then another about whatever else....or if nothing else, do some animated movies...that would own...
