People still play on it, therefore there is still a market.

It's not a remake. They're just releasing a 5 year old game on the Xbox360 with minor graphic improvements. It's still the same old game, but with HD SUPPORT !!!

And to the Xbox360 players, if you want a headstart, go to www.ebay.com and start looking for some cheap gil, cause the FF11 economy is ****ed beyond belief ! Oh, and an interesting note. People love to charge the newbies even more gil. When the first NA players on the PC version joined the game, the prices of all the items would steadily increase as the NA players raised in level. It happened once again when the PS2 players came, never recovering from before.

Nowadays, gold farmers have completely destroyed the games economy. You basically NEED to buy gil off the internet if you want anything. And if you don't believe me, well, you'll be in for a surprise soon enough.

Meh, I do well enough with fishing and crafting to make gil. I wouldn't say the econmy is totally effed up in the game, but a lot of the servers. I manged to find a server that's quite balanced.

I quit a few months after NA PC launch, and it was fine then. When I went back a couple months ago, it had completely changed. People were paying 10k gil for an item you could buy in a shop for 900 gil. Low level items not available in stores were 20k+ gil. It was sick. I guess it might depend on the server, but you can be sure prices will be jacked up for Xbox360 launch. They're gonna try to bleed the new players dry.

    :huh

I make my gil by doing HNMs and Gods with my Linkshell, and my friend made all his by getting High quality synths on already expensive items.

EDIT: Made over 6 million off Strider Boots when they dropped after beating Simurgh with just 1 party of 6 people. :D

    Currently:

    Carbuncle
    Shiva
    Garuda
    Leviathan
    Ifrit
    Ramuh
    Titan
    Fenrir
    and Diabolos

These are the avatars summonable now (Diabolos only recently added) with at least one or two more assumed to come sometime around ToAU's release.

Bahamut is a storyline enemy that you can face after the Chains of Promathia missions. His first fight has been beaten several times on every server, his second fight however has never been completed and only rumors of his abilities are floating around.
