Honestly it’s like they’re trolling us with the new head updates.

 

at this point i just want them to release it cause at least its better than the original one.

 

2nd version >>> 3rd version > 1 version.

Two steps forward and two steps back/no one asked for a big chin strap/and you know its not fiction it's a natural fact/a chin strap will distract from any goodwill to be had.

This head looks good

 

X2toys made a great upgrade set for T30 Trailbreaker and Hoist and this Skyfire is a great design apart from the head. But they just proved that on the whole they are a prime example of everything wrong with 3p these days.

 

Well, that settles it... I'm going Hasbro.

 

They are still trolling with the whole "better looking head" thing?!?... Best thing about Skycrusher is that I finally resold it months ago. Not missing it one bit.

Yes, fantastic build but the design was such a clumsy and derpy attempt to capture Hasbro's corner cutting of the time that you had to pick up the brick from time to time to remind you what such a dated looking figure was doing in your collection.

 

It looks like basically the same head to me. Can even see the flip done visor on the sides. The only difference beside paint that I can tell is an extra line sculpted into the chin strap.

 

Still no news on where or when we're going to be getting it....

Getting a bit fed up of waiting at this point.

 

I wish they would just make the figure base without the backpack head and sell various headsculpt packs for certain figures from the TR line. But looking at this jetfire kerfuffle I don't think X2 has it in them to make any sort of quality sculpt...

 

X2 announced it should be available through the seller your would have bought you Skycrusher from, but they can’t control if any of the sellers decide to charge for it. Check the previous two pages of this thread, I think specifics were previously posted.

 

They've been posting that info(along with above pics) on their weibo for the past week though i guess no one linked to it...

TLDR in English is

• They are currently in the process of giving the new headmaster to retailers (in China) for free
• They can't control whether the retailers pass it onto their customers for free or for a fee
• Retailers need to confirm the numbers they need by 10 May, through weixin
• They will not be selling the head themselves.
• The head will be included at no extra charge in an upcoming reissue of Skycrusher

If you bought a Skycrusher previously, contact your seller and ask about the above asap. Link them the weibo post.

In any case, I do love this toy but it is getting replaced by Hasbros, Hasbros just isnt a headmaster and it looks more cartoon accurate, but man do I feel bad as this toy is amazing . Despite me hating the headmaster feature.

 

I’ll be keeping it and just using it as a new character named sky crusher, no reason why they can’t coexist

 

Why would they do this? A chin-strap? (And a visor?!) What the crap is wrong with them? It's like they're trying to screw with people. I already have the bot, I only want a head that matches the character.

 

I got mine second hand, so does that mean I cant get the new head then?
