Oh damn, if you can actually keep the treads as part of the upper bicep of the arm instead of staying glued to the chest, then you will have an insta buy from me. That was one of those design decisions by Hasbro that I found absolutely baffling.

 

Yes, but... what will tab into Long Haul's tinnie arms? They'll just hang in empty space, flapping at Devy's torso looking pathetic desperately trying for something to tab into.

A 3rd party needs to pump up those arms and give them elbows. They also need to put Longhaul on a treadmill.

a new head or some new arms for the guys with crap elbows are something I would consider buying, but its really only those green treads that bug me without having in hand.

anyway, as many have stated and asked for, Mixmaster needs a 3rd party upgraded G1 style cab foot... clip-on design, unless there is a 5mm hole somewhere it can plug into?

give me the G1 Mixmaster cab upgrade for the combined mode foot, and I'll drive Mixmaster backwards in alt mode (could care less about where the wheels are and all that crap)... and if the cab can be used as a shield in bot mode, hallelujah!

as far as the treads being black, I wish - but the SDCC version already does that - guess saving for that version might be your only option...

And with that I'm now onboard. Combined mode should look pretty damn perfect now.

All we need are new arms for Long Hail and Mixmaster now and the set is pretty much sorted. I'll sort out the individual hands myself.

 

The video review from Ben's Collectables mentions several times that Dr Wu is working on new arms for the bots so I would imagine/hope this will include articulated hands. Also a new articulated Devy head apparently.

While a clip-on Mixmaster foot is ok, I'd still rather have someone replace his entire legs with a fully transformable cab part.

Beyond that, hopefully some bits and pieces that fill the hollows in the likes of Bonecrusher's inner legs, a couple of open cabs for Scrapper and Bonecrusher and we're almost done..

I dunno how you'd fix Long Haul, but other than that I think this could turn into a worthy G1 MP (ducks rotten fruit).

 

sadly, I want this AOK just for the cab foot... why in the world will I ever have these guys in individual bot mode? once combined, let it shine!

none of these are necessary to me. I like the treads attatched to the body because that's the way it was in the cartoon.

those are the new arm connectors to make them attach higher on the shoulders. you plug them on hook and then plug bonecrusher and scavenger on the green plugs.

 

^The treads being attached to the body as cartoon accurate is debatable. In some shots, they are attached to the body, in others they move with the arms, and yet in others they seem to disappear completely.

Really comes down to a matter of preference with the animation being all over the place.

well that's the way I remember it so its good enough for me.

 

They may need to make the chest shield a bit smaller also, otherwise Devys arms will need to stick out pretty far to clear it.

 

This may or may not be feasible, but, a leg extension addon like Hurcules had would be pretty nice and would add that last little UMPH!! needed to make his combined mode look bigger. on a figure that size, leg extensions could give him an extra 1.5" to 2" more in height. 20" combiner anyone?

 

You may be able to dodge the rotten fruit, but you forgot about the rotten vegetables!  

I'm in the same mind as you, I want this to be my MP Devy.

 

Hmmm, his proportions look ok as is... but thigh extensions might actually help offset his unfortunately high knee placement. Wonder if it can be done and not look silly - anyone want to try a digibash?
