I never understood people's criticisms of Fanstoys' release schedule. I'm pretty sure at this point they release more G1 MP per year than every other company combined, or close to it.

    Except for Inferno and Grapple.

    And Runabout and Runamuck.

    And Dreadwind and Darkwing.

Haven’t heard FT reveal any of those o_O

Personally I wish they did like, 1 less figure a year and simply made more of them. Actually supply the demand rather than have small batches that all go to scalpers. Oh and control retailers that somehow think the second batch of the same exact figure with no changes deserves to be an extra $100.

Yes if it’s around 350. No if I have to spend 500.

Runamok and Runabout were going to be iGears return to third party but it never happened. Although there were rumours iGear was either part of Keith's company or Toyworld but I don't think we ever found out.

Mfw those and X-Transbots Inferno will never see the light of day. Mfw knowing my luck their Springer ends up cancelled too.

Cool as these look, I actually find the big blocky backpack that hangs down to the knees really offputting for a Masterpiece-style figure. The one on the left at least looks a little sculpted, but even then obvious tailfin sticking out the back seems a little... I mean, how do these guys sit down?

Maybe they don't. Maybe that's why they're always cranky and joined the Decepticons...

I think it's safe to say FT caught a lot of heat from fans over the last 2-3 years for revealing items that were 1-3 years away from release. As much as I like FT I can't say I blame those fans. Perhaps FT has learned their lesson. However Covid struck this year and early revealed items took a back seat anyways in favor of earlier items that were overdue. We'll know for sure how soon it'll take FT to release items that were revealed earlier this year like their Jazz, Mirage, Huffer, Cliffjumper, Blaster, Perceptor v2, Soundwave and tapes, and Fort Max. Let's not forget the long overdue Trailbreaker (and hopefully Hoist) and Blitzwing. FT also teased a possible Optimus Prime as well.

They've been cranking them out this year, that's for sure. But I do remember FT did have a very slow year. It was either last year or the year before. I'm thinking it was the latter. I think they had only like 4 releases. It was the year Rouge and Apache came out.

Yeah but I was talking about FT and they mentioned XTB’s reveals for some reason. That’s why I was confused.

November 2021, I damn well hope not. I sold Apache not long after seeing the first mock ups of xtb... I'll go with saltus if nothing looks like it's coming of this.

TFSource. I'm personally thinking it's a placeholder date, since we've got nothing new about Virtus from XTB as of recent.

They also said berserk was gonna be out like 2 months ago. If they said rain falls from the sky I'd look up before believing them

While this is true, Keith did confirm several years ago they were making Runabout and Runamok along with Astrotrain. So much for those rumors. I had long hoped that someone took over these iGear designs. With the Omnibots it would definitely make sense for XTB to take them on and they NEED to be made. I am quite sure they would start with their own design instead. I have the Mech Ideas Top Spin and Twintwist and imagine that is all we will ever get.

Correct, several months ago we saw a prototype of chopper mode as a follow up to the robot mode. Haven't seen the car mode yet but I would say any timeline right now is simply wishful thinking. Let's see them actually get out one figure this year at all.

They would be the biggest idiots in existence if they do this. By all accounts of the prototype, its going to be the best Springer (looks and proportions wise) up to now....And I have no horse on this race because I dont give two rats turds about Springer.

Then again....Galvatron....yeah sorry I doubted you for a second.....

Jokes and vitriol aside, between so many announcements, trying to capitalize on the untapped Quintesson market (huge fuckup on their part there), whatever is happening with their MM trailer AND the virus going, its understandable that they push projects back.

Many felt the same way about XTB Kup and know we know it is coming. I'm pretty certain Springer will happen.
Aside from seeing box art, boxes, and continuous prototype update pics, my rule of thumb is checking preorders on Taobao. Until TB sellers start accepting preorder deposits then it isn't happening. So far XTB Springer, Kup, Quintesson can be preordered. I can't say the same for XTB Galvatron, Inferno, or Grapple.
I'm waiting to see if POs for XTB Omnibots and Protectobots will pop up.
