You would think that'd be the obvious thing to do, but then again, we live in looney tunes land these days, so who knows what will happen? Anyway, both the new Perceptors look good to me, so whichever gets here first gets my cash. Simple as that.

Going to be an interesting one.

Some folks have been waiting forever (feels that way at least) for Virtus and many paid the whole price up front months ago because it was "imminent". So XTB have a choice to make; get their Preceptor out before Fanstoys because most likely that way they make more money (seeing as many Virtus buyers prepaid in full anyhow) or get Virtus out next because it was due first and value customer loyalty for more (hopefully) long term gain.

Actually getting V2 Locke to people was a big step in the right direction after some huge instances of foot in mouth so I hope they go with Virtus first and keep the goodwill they built back.

I honestly cancelled my fully paid off virtus preorder the second robot hero showed their springer. He arrived today, I'm very happy.

 

Certainly not a bad option.

I cancelled my fully paid Virtus got the money back then preordered for $2 on another site. I think it could be best Springer MP but it could also equally be Locke V1 so nobody is holding my cash indefinitely whilst I wait to see/read a review.

Damn, looks great. I may have to sell my Saltus...Saltus has the best face sculpt, but his massive shoulder pads sure are off putting.

Interesting that XTB will be releasing Magnus and SPringer with their Only Human figurines. I hope this means we\'ll get a Rodimus Prime and Arcee. Imagine a 25cm Rodimus that is G1 accurate and an Arcee that doesn\'t have saggy tits!

As badly as I want it to be awesome, I'm obviously skeptical XTB Springer's QC will allow it to be superior to FT or MMC. I'd love for it to be so I can sell both of them. I guess I gotta sell the MP-26 I've been using as Overdrive for my collection as well.

 

Not thrilled that Springer is the first thing pumped out after CNY... but so be it.

But XTB promised us Springer by CNY, or maybe just after CNY. Unfortunately that was CNY 2021 when I paid in full thinking this guy was just around the corner. March 2022 will be fine with me.

My theory is that Virtus was coming out of the same factory as Locke 1.0 and XTB had to put the brakes on him. Plus they seemed to suddenly take notice of the colors and had GrifterPrime review and improve quite a few things. Based on the trouble from last year and the imminent release being delayed 12 months I'm expecting good things from this figure.

Now let's get working on Ultra Magnus and then announce a Rodimus Prime since no one else seems to want to make one. Rodimus needs to have both his human, Old Snake, and human Arcee to be complete as I don't think XTB would be looking to compete against MP-51 Arcee. While not 100% perfect, the current MP Arcee selection is too good to think there is easy money to be made on yet another version.

 

Now, after several breaks have been reported about XTB Janssen, i think the pressure on their Virtus will grow even higher. Virtus gets under a very sharp radar when the first collectors get it in hand after CNY.

And on the other hand, what else because an earlier release (Janssen) would look like someone gets a good copy and someone else gets a bad one.

The variability is, in my opinion, far too great in the case of Janssen.

I do hope Virtus turns out to be a good figure, but Janssen hasn’t impress me. I hate to say that Janssen hasn’t impress me. I like the character, but the thing is i wished Janssen would have been better. Things just do not always go ”in the tube”.

The transformation to tank mode has that kind of issues/points that i don’t want to my masterpiece scale figures to have. We are living 2022 at the moment. It’s not 2003 anymore.
