Oh heck yes. While I certainly hope he gets all valid Diaclone variants (+Cross Dimension Skids and Skreech!)eventually, this effectively is a NEW Retro Diaclone variant. And frankly this police-special makes a lot more sense than Prowl, Cordon, or Clampdown!

 

Well, I REALLY liked the skids mold and transformation. Crosscut is also probably my next purchase.

I like this police deco a lot too. It might not be a Diaclone deco, but it sure LOOKS like it could be.  

Now we see the toy head has been molded. Can we get a separate release add on for just the blue toy head please. It will encourage people to buy you products in the future.

 

Despite never seeing the anime, I may have to get this. It definitely has a Diaclone vibe to it. I just hope we also get the other Diaclone colors. I also might check out the anime.

 

Kinda sucks they don't give him a cool Night Stick Weapon.

I torn, I don't want it because it isn't diaclone for a Diaclone collection. BUT it does have a nice police theme.

You can have a whole rescue vehical shelf with Clapdown, Prowl, Red Alert, Inferno, Cordon, and other.

 

You mean how in real life, law enforcement agencies would never use a Datsun or an Italian sportscar worth more than my house as police vehicles?

I always wanted to see (or customize) one of the Diaclone super car molds (G1 or MP) as a "D.A.R.E." Police Special. That would at least make some sense, as (especially in the coke-fueled 80's) American Cops do seize ridiculously expensive vehicles from drug-busts and sometimes do that sort of thing. There was a red D.A.R.E. Stingray owned by the local PD when I was a kid, always imagined it was Tracks  

 

Or maybe just try the police Stick Weapon come with TLK barricade

 

I recall seeing police sportscar once in Florida, it was years ago on a family vacation but I remember everyone was agog at the sight.

There is Police Sports Cars they often get them appropriated from Drug dealers etc, and rebrand them as cop cars - yes that includes Lamborghinis. (look it up if don't believe me image search or image search "Police Lamborghini")

 

Multiple State Highway Patrols have run Mustangs, Camaros and even Firebirds over the years. In Japan, they did indeed use some 260 and 280 Z's back in the day and there is a new Z police car in use there now. In Europe, you definitely see BMW's and yes, even Lamborghini's in Italy.

You can always buy one of those MSG LED Sabers and trim them down to size.

 

This is the exact kind of fun/silly stuff I love seeing 3rd Parties do. He and Cordon will be best friends.
