I'm very impressed by the girls, great level of detail for such small figures.

But I agree, not the main prize. And man does the main event look good in vehicle mode. Ready for some in hand robot mode pics. Or, you know, mine to arrive at TCP

I think they’re great but not that perfect. The eyes could probably be redone though.

Did someone write something? It says ignored content at the bottom.

 

Has anyone started get shipping notifications/tracking info from Baba?

 

I have been on the fence about this mold
But I have read that it has some breakage issues.

This is the one time I am very happy for preorders. I bought this Roadking, Maverick and a ton of other stuff on the last eBay sale before they went cheap.

 

And appropriately sized to their cars.

 

I think he’s a great mould. Really fun and creative with good posing. The only real issues is that his shoulder clip parts don’t have the right tolerances to work. The shoulder and bicep swivel work, it’s just that the parts that clip over them are looser than the joints. This makes them detach easily.

But a word of warning, I don’t if this was improved, but the window pegs are nightmare to take out. If you’re somehow able to transform him on the first go, file down those fuckers immediately.

Ehh, they aren’t exactly perfect. I’d rather have model train set people. These still have nothing on the KP partners. Which I still hold as the peak of human TF figures.

 

To be fair, KP partners are 20% bigger, so you can easily do the faces. Also disagree on them being the peak. They may have better paint, but all they can do is look pretty next to the bots. BT Asterisk partners, tho...

 

Right of course. I also know that I shouldn’t expect the same quality given the small work space. But it still pales in comparison.

BT Asterisk was on the same level. They were just the proto KP figures. And they could also sit in the cars. In fact they functioned in exactly the same way.

 

Pretty sure KP removed the functionality of the figures being able to sit inside the cars. Marissa could maybe sit in the truck bed, but XiaoXiao is permanently stuck eating that bun forever, lol. BTA at least allows switching of body parts for extra photo op.

 

I definitely could’ve sworn that Atari could drive the Autorooper. Although I admit that I’ve never seen XiaoXiao in Hot Rod.

 

Lol I've just double checked; Atari could sit in the driver's seat with her arms down/with her barf bag, and Marissa could still fit in Convoy. XiaoXiao was the only one without changeable bodyparts, I guess because she's the last and TakTom probably already decided the cancel the line right after.

 

They were still great figures.
