How easy is it to get to the screw to replace it? I just ordered Dante and Da Vinci and would like to change them out first thing. Also what size of screw, how much longer?

The measurement is in centimeters, the problem with this screw is that it does not have a stop on the head... but it is long enough not to break the plastic, I hope XTB sends a suitable screw... or I will have to find a definitive one.

Awesome, thank you so much. I have a ton of random sized screws from my RC cars so I know i will have one to fit. I am fairly sure I have some with the wider flange as well.

Go to page 59, redinferno77 has a good write up about what happens with it.

I have passed these photos to the XTB parts mail so that they take it into account and so they can also use the spare part.

You must disassemble and see your screw... but it will surely be short and every time you move the piece you are forcing it... my recommendation is that before transforming the figure... when you open the package it is to disassemble that piece so as not to break it and ask for a replacement ... because it would break with use.

Here you can see the length of the official screw... and why when prying the piece breaks... too short...

Thanks for all of your work on keeping us aware @Redinferno77 , i appreciate it.

not sure i follow all the details about why it breaks, but i’m sure once i get these in-hand the photos will make more sense. If u happen to find the dimensions of a “proper” screw, please do let us know.

So can the screw be loosened while everything is still assembled straight out of the box?

I'm not having any problem with the ladder. Is the issue that on some copies the screw is too tight causing it to shear off the bottom of the peg?

What is that figure at the bottom. It looks like a Junkion combiner

So is the QC good on this thing?

That’s exactly what it is. It is a custom 3D printed frame from LikeToys. It uses the KFC junkions. They are for sale, but the wait time is a few months as it is a one man operation.

So, for those of you with all 4, or at least more than 1, are any of them objectively better than the others or just the same? Thinking of getting one of these and it’s down to the wire on either Inferno or Hauler…

I'm having the same issue with the right thumb on my Da Vinci, to the point where it popped off and I can't find it. I actually emailed XTB for a replacement right hand, so we'll see how that goes; usually they're pretty great with after-sales.

I've got MakeToys Hellfire, and although I still think it's a good figure, there's no comparison to Dante. I also have MMC's Grapple. Imo this is, hands down, the best MP Inferno on the market. Bear in mind though, that I can't stand the simplistic 'toon nature of the official version, so if that's your thing, then my opinion won't count for much.

Sorry for the confusion! I meant if there are any differences in tolerances or QC between the 4 XTB options just released. And if anyone feels like one of the decos really pops more than the others.

The design of the yellow parts of the helmet was bugging me, because the central one is too squared and the side ones are tiny, but now I see that it was right in the pictures from september! Why XTB has to change right details (or colors) to wrong ones right before release?

    infernos.jpg

I like the figure and love the alt mode, but I must nitpick saying I miss some finish details the MMC one has, like rear bumper as a separate chromed part and painted indicator lights, or sirens not painted silver (why?) I'd also have liked the base of the stabilizers and the structure that connects the head painted silver, like in their promo pictures. And a bit darker red.
