Yeah the alt mode on this looks awesome.
This'll probably be a 2017 release.
Bot mode, the 4th company > Mt > xt > mmc.
Alt mode, the 4th company > mmc > xt > mt.
What are you talking about 4th company?
But you do have terrible taste , even though some say it's subjective. How can the ugliest, most g1 looking and most fake looking fire truck have the best looking alt mode? I'm not sure if you're joking or if serious?
I do agree with you on bot modes though, mmc is by far the ugliest. Mt and xtb actually both look really good.
Now about that 4th company, joking or?
Only other company I could see doing these guys would be Takara. Seems a huge risk for a third party getting involved in a crowded market like this now
Takara is weird, even when they make good looking figures they mess it up one way or the other.
XTB version certainly looks better than the others, at least based on the rendering.
If Arkose is any indication of how haphazard the QC may be, I'd stick with Maketoys.
I'm not a fan of the MT look. I'll keep an eye on these but if they are riddled with q/c issues I'll pass on all Inferno/Grapple offerings available at this time.
so does every third party ever. Cept more.
no fan of the MMC one. the MT version looks...well...fat. This one, based on the CG images I've seen looks the best by far. That said, I need to see real pics before I pull the trigger. (and are they going to do a Grapple too?)
edit--just found the Da Vinci post. sweet!!
The renders of Dante still look better to me than both MMC and MT. However MMC just posted the price for Backdraft that is going to be hard to beat...
XTB is hit/miss with QC but I think it's the best looking 3P Inferno.
Anyone want to speculate how much Dante will be? MMC just posted the early bird price of 100.
I think the XTB one combines the best features of MMC and MT.
But it's been a long time, and I don't think we've anything more than a render, right?
If XTB wants to hold people over, they either have to drop pricing info to match MMC or show something off ASAP.
And I always assumed their price would have been about $120.
I'm expecting $120 for this guy as well. That MMC price is early bird only and jumps up to $130 retail (from TCP anyways). So yeah, that is an awesome price for about a week and a brilliant marketing move for MMC. Their offering isn't bad, but the alt mode feels a bit too modern for my tastes. I really love the old 80's style fire engine that XTB has shown.
I'll give XTB till Friday to rebuttable, otherwise I'm ordering backdraft. That's it I've drawn the line in the sand!
Both the mt and mmc versions of Inferno have a giant exposed hole on the back of the truck mode. I'm curious to see what xtb's looks like.
And before anybody tries to reply by saying, 'who displays their figures backwards?', know that I was not complaining, just taking notice.
While I like MMC's offering, but I can safely say XTB one looks better ( I have seen some test shots, but I cannot reveal from the request of the designer) and it looks better than MMC. I have no comment on the quality as I have not handled one, but in the looks department, he wins.
XTB not helping their cause with such mixed QC... can only take so much...
Yeah I just don't get the warm and fuzzies from this company anymore. I'm sure it'll look awesome but everything has huge issues with them (except Andras and that's 1 out of how many?). I'm tired of gambling on these. I know most 3p's are a gamble but these feel like a stacked deck.
I'll go the MT route.
Whatever they do, don't make ratchet joints on the thighs. I don't know what it is, but third parties makes the ratchets either too close, too far or one side is not symetrical and just off a little from the other side.
Look at MP10 Prime's thighs for example, it just uses friction like most other MPs and it works.
Separate names with a comma.
