OK so I'm only just getting involved with the 3P Menasor wars thing but based on the research I've done so far I'm leaning towards Xtb. There's a few things I'd like to know and I'm not going to sift through 850+ pages to find it (why didn't each member get their own thread?), plus it's obscenely late and my brain is mush, so I'm hoping someone can help me regarding the main Toon versions please?

1. What's the general QC consensus around the 4 cars so far?
2. Why are Dragstrip, Deadend and Wildrider all painted to the 9s but Breakdown is mostly bare plastic? Are there plans for a painted re-release?
3. Some YouTube reviews of Dragstrip showed an extra face is included but others make no mention of it. Is there an extra face included with him or not? Do the others have extra faces too?
4. What does this talk above of optional shells mean? I tried scrolling back a few pages but the conversation doesn't seem to cover it. Shells for what?
5. What are people doing about getting a Decepticon logo on Dragstrips shoulder?
6. Have people been giving motormaster the same amount of backpack criticism as they did for MP44? It looks like literally the entire cab is hanging off there.

Apologies again I'm sure this has all been covered but my brain is mush from sleep deprivation and I'm feeling lazy.

1. Dragstrip has shoulder issues, cracking and mold issues where you need to shave off a bit to get the tires to come down smoothly, and the front wing needs shaved to fold the way the instructions say to, Deadend has paint chipping on the thighs as they rub during transformation, the rest I can't think of off the top of my head
2. no repaint reissue, the youth version has better paint but you are also going to pay almost 2x what the original goes for.
3. the extra face was for Savant (Skids) and isn't included in the recent ones because they put the new face on Skids.
4. the shells are for the arms and go over the car halves to bulk the arms up a bit, included in package but are optional so you don't have to use them unless you want to.
5. I am going to be using the smallest dry transfer decal on mine, but there isn't much room for anything, as you have already seen.
6. personal preference, to me the backpack isn't nearly as huge as MP-44's or as panely as FT's, might be since it is black it isn't as obvious to my eyes.

Breakdown is slathered with a glossy varnish all over..so is that considered as painted? Lol

Well, Dragstrip shoulders are so problematic, the sticker thing wouldn't be an issue  

 

What's the recommended amount of filing down that needs to be done to Overheat's shoulders?

 

Slowly bit by bit. Just test it once in awhile after each filing down.

 

how easy is it supposed to be rotating the wheels? some resistance or no resistance?

 

Just a slight resistance that's all.
