Do they (youth versions) all have things remolded? I’ve been looking for side by side comparison pics of the toon/toy but no luck. Your pic definitely sold me on the toy Breakdown. As far as G2 goes I already have 3 of the 4 but I really wish they weren’t the toon mold...I’m wondering if they’ll rerelease them as the toy...While I really like these guys I do not want 2 sets of G2.

Transformed him this morning and ripped the paint again. Got frustrated and painted him in the closest colour I got. In order to ensure I never have to transform him again, I am gonna get toy version deathwish too. Expensive fix, but i like my deadend without scratches. I hope you like the new look @ibot 20191122_000223.jpg

But yeah, they most definitely have extensive remolding (new heads and chest pieces, in particular):

And Toy Deathwish has that nice racing stripe:

    ...speaking of which...

When will the Runabout/Runamuck/Omnibot Wars start?!? It’s starting to seem like none of the 3P companies want to touch them.

Decepticars seem to be the flavor of the month right now so why not at least tease RA/RA to stir up/gauge interest?

And conveniently, if you scroll up one post you can easily see all the changes between the two Deathwishes. In addition to the different head and chest, he has new thighs (which are hopefully more scratch resistant). Also, his arms are mostly black, and there's new molding in his shins.

If someone does do Runamuck/Runabout, I hope they stick with the classic 80s look of a Lotus Espirit and a Pontiac Trans Am. I just love getting new car designs instead of the hundredth Countach. I mean, yes XTB Windcharger turns into a Trans Am, but he's not scaled with the MP line.

No, the original Deathwish came with black thighs. The picture you saw was the result of someone's custom job.

In regards to Deathwish's thighs I think the culprit is the outward hip skirts. They sit in a manner that they can rub/scratch against the thighs in alt mode and during transformation. When trying to move his legs outwards to expand them (going from car to bot) you gotta watch out for them.

Oh, I know that the person repainted it, but it wasn't the color that's different its the molding:
    origdw thighs.jpg
As you can see, the thighs have a grove going all the way around the midpoint of each thigh, with large hexagon shapes on the bottom half of the thigh. Compare this to the youth version thighs:

    dw work.jpg
No groove dividing the thigh in half or hexagons, just a long inverse T-shape going down each thigh.

I thought I remembered that either xtb or KFC had announced plans to do them. No renders or even silhouettes, iirc, just a stated plan.

[Edit] here is the thread. Like I said, just stated plan with nothing to show.

Yeah, there's actually all sorts of tiny differences between the normal and youth versions if you look close enough. Like right now, I'm trying to figure out if the hip skirts are differently shaped, or if the only difference is the trapezoidal outline on each of the front hip skirts. I mean, they might have slightly reshaped them to have better clearance and thus less scratching on the thighs.

But I also noticed one of the major areas of chipping in the normal Deathwish thighs are on the thigh OCTAGONS (I apparently can't count), so I wonder since the thighs are more flat all around on the youth version, there will be less chipping/scratching. (Of course, I haven't noticed chipping/scratching on my G2's thighs, so it could totally be a finish thing on the normal version)

I am scared to think of how much the toy version will cost.

Damn they cleaned up Gravestone nicely! When can we estimate an announcement for the G2?
