Hs anyone's cracked overheat shoulders actually broken apart yet, or have they just remained these hairline fractures?

What was the original pre order price for crackdown and flip out? Were the 2nd pair more expensive right away?

I _should_ get my replacement shoulders tomorrow. So if I decide to go through with the surgery, I will post the outcome. That said, I'm fairly certain the only thing holding his current cracked shoulders together are the screws.

@ibot , is there any plan to make a new mold for the shoulder or use a different plastic? Such a nice set and so many of us are worried about one figure's problem.

Yeah, this. The only disappointing thing is even the smallest of the G2 symbols is unfortunately too wide to put on Overheat's shoulders (Toyhax's g1 symbols are just the right size), hence putting them on his forearms. Of course, I don't have Crackup's badge in an accurate place either, but the little divot in his chest fits a symbol perfectly, so I prefer that over having to slice a symbol to put on the center and side chest pieces.

Mine haven't, and I'm not convinced they ever will. As I've posted before, a lot of people saw the cracks and just left it alone afraid it will fall apart, but I've purposely exercised the tire rotation trying to get the cracks to worsen, but they haven't. (And I actually rotated the shoulders 25 times right before typing this up, since I hadn't done so in a while).

So I still have the original shoulders, and I got mine right when it came out. And by count, the shoulder has been through over a hundred rotations. Sure, its not a thousand, but I feel 100+ rotations in less than a year I think constitutes more than average use. (Although to be fair, I also filed down the shoulders a little bit so those rotations aren't causing nearly enough pressure as they normally would out of the box)

And, still no cracks on G2 Overheat either.

I've not replaced those parts on mine yet, and so far so good. I also would not rule out the possibility, but so far they seem to be sturdy. I'm also not sparing him when posing etc.

Yeah, just wondered if anyone had found one approach particularly more effective than the other, with this and other issues. You know "I've found Baba is rubbish for getting hold of spares" or "XTB will charge you but Baba won't and he's great for getting spares in too", that sort of thing.

Might be nobody's got any anecdotes that'll sway it beyond 'the cheapest option', but thought I'd ask before contacting Baba in the first instance.

    I like things symmetrical...

I am happy now! Suddenly, I don't even care that his current shoulders are cracked. While I do have replacement shoulders for him, it is more screws than I want to deal with right now. I'll replace them if I ever find the need to swap him back to alt-mode.

Baba got me my spare parts and didn't charge for postage, xtb charges for postage for spare parts as far as I know.

I would definitely want to have both rifles, it just looks better, in my opinion.

I agree. I can honestly admit, that has been my only real gripe in this set lol. After all the pics of him with two before the release, now I can't UNSEE him with two....

so I have already seen how DX9 motormaster transforms into combined mode. their Motormaster is folded into a square and shoved into the gap in his back.

XTB definitely gonna be almost the same

to me that isn't an issue, not as "bad" as Zeta with the core bit having nothing to do with the rest of the bot, at least there is something the core transforms into for the alt mode. I think MMC's all in one gimmick is going to have some serious compromises to make the combined mode.

I kinda accidentally backed my way into this set. Just liked the black Overheat/Drag Strip and then decided to get Crackup as another Lambo mould. Now I’m just waiting for for Grapestone to arrive. (Big props to whomever coined that btw!)
