No? The lower chest and side parts that rotate around for vehicle mode are a different shade than the main chest square which is a totally different shade from the waist

OK, help me out. Is this new color still the cream of the original Crackup or is it meant to be white? I'll admit these aging eyeballs don't see the way they used to.

ZETA = 3 complete combiners, rest of 3p a bunch of parts. In all seriousness, complete the entire team, then let the repaints roll. At this rate Gigapower will release a full combiner before any of the other 3p combiners. Probably why Zeta is going to compete against Hasbro in the war for Unicron

 

Here here bigsteve03. I\'m getting really fed up with some producers who make all but one of a set of figures and then go... yeah, we\'ll make them wait for the final piece - and in this case, in the mean time we\'ll produce G2 and toy versions before anyone knows what the final combined product looks like. I hope the redesign is good because DX9 and FT make the XTB first design look poor.

Does it have the large backpack guns? It needs that to complete the toy aesthetic. The head and colors/details are nice but not the full toy experience.

 

This better not be the way they introduce the big guns for alt modes. I won’t be excited. They could have fully painted the alt mode and maybe got some more attention.

 

I think it's a color correction as opposed to a "toy version" regardless of what X-Transbots says. It's geared to look less "peach" like the original Crackup release and more cream. Wocka wocka.

In fairness, Zeta cuts tons of corners on their figures, and they're not what I'd call engineering masterpieces outside of TW Devastator, who really only looks spot on with the partsforming add-ons in combined modes. They went for some low hanging fruit, popping off gigantic versions of the two easiest Scramble City combiners who are all boxy robots that turn into boxy vehicles. The robot modes of their Bruticus are flap covered and honestly fairly ugly, and the less said about their pantsforming the better.

I say this having both figures and loving them both. I like them despite their flaws because they look great in combined mode... but under no circumstances would I compare them to what XTB's done with their Stunticons. It'd be like comparing a $10 restaurant burger with all the fixings versus something Carl's Jr. kicks out the door during the lunch rush.

 

It's a shitty business move by XTB, but I see why they are doing this. They know if the G2 and toy versions sells well, then they have 3 more Motormasters to triple dip on the mold.
