Getting a replacement shoulder shipped out by XTB, arranged the details last night via email exchange. Just a heads up, it looks like they're starting to prep service parts if you contacted them directly

 

Freshly arrived.


Haven't put them through their paces yet but I'm impressed with the heft of DeadEnd. The shoulder joint will need ratchets to hold him though.

 

I think that the problem was that the designer didn't take into account that the part was being painted, and that paint added a fraction of a mm extra thickness, which keeps it from folding back easily.

Pretty much, I just scraped away paint at the interface, and that is allowing it to move properly.

 

Sounds like there's some variance in that area. Some of our copies were tighter than others. So the reductive "just do it right," isn't necessarily correct - it was going to break no matter how careful we were, unless we mod it. In other words, it's a bad design.

Weird. I reached out again two days ago and they gave me the same spiel about still going through collection or whatever.

 

I think that it is a paint thickness issue. Some will have a thicker or thinner layer of paint, which is killing the tolerance of the joint.

 

Got my Overheat from Baba, but he hasn't shipped my Deathwish yet (ordered both at the same time). I've emailed him to ask when he'll get more stock... hopefully it's soon.

 

Today, I came home from my morning workout to find Deathwish and Overheat from netclow finally delivered. I'll check them out when I get a minute.

 

Just got these guys in today. A little finicky with some Dragstrips transformation, and I know people have been having problems with their shoulder joints and other things with him, mine luckily is totally fine. Both fantastic figures and great shelf presence (finally fleshing out that Decepticon shelf). Bring on Motormaster, I can't wait to see this Menasor finally finished.
