That I couldn't tell you. My advice would be: sand/file for a bit, test the movement, repeat until it moves easily. It seemed like a lot, but in reality it probably wasn't that much. The file I was using was pretty fine, so it wasn't removing a lot of material at a time.

As I stressed earlier, give it a go before you take a file to it - this area is absolutely fine on mine.

You got lucky. Mine were insanely tight, and I can absolutely see how people were breaking them. However, I agree with your statement, check it first, no need to start filing away on him if you don't need to.

Duuuude. Not cool. I've butted heads with lots of people on this site, including him, but that's just taking it too far. If you think someone deserves disciplinary action, report them (like I'm reporting your post) but don't be like that about it.

That's a nice idea but did you see my disassembly pic? Without popping out pins (which they should never ask a customer to do), you have to replace almost the entire upper body.

My parcel didn't make it here today. This means I'll have to wait until Tuesday till I get my next two Stunticons. :(  So please guys, post some nice pics to keep me entertained while I wait. I'd love to see more Masquerade or Key to Vector Sigma scenes recreated!

I took his waist apart last night and ended up having to shave just the tiniest little bit off the circular bit (attached to his upper body) and after playing with the tightness of the screw a tiny bit, he now separates and reattaches with no issue. Thanks to you (and others) for the tips.

Oh yeah for sure. Just sometimes see folks taking action as a preventative measure without even checking if the problem is present in their figure, which seems a shame. I had a file ready and waiting for the front flap but luckily found it wasn't necessary before I got to work on the poor chap.

So this is the area to shave on both shoulders?

@El Duque Can you post the end result showing the improved clearance when you're ready?

Not at home right now, but I’ll try to post an image or video of the improved clearance. The area you have highlighted is not the the plane that needs to be reduced, but the horizontal plane just under it. Once you pop the tire off it will be very clear where you need to sand/file.

I resisted using it for a loooong time, but there was a phase where it felt like all the super toxic people were on the site all day drowning everyone out - to the point where I quite for a while. When I came back I almost stopped again right away, until I started adding them to the list.

Back to the figures, I need to find time to mess with them later today. But yeah, if there are indeed any persistent issues, then XTB needs to step up and fix them. Given their past track record on the customer service front I’m confident they will, but that doesn’t completely excuse releasing a product with major defects to begin with - and that standard should apply to all companies, whether XTB, FT, or TT.

Again, not excusing the poor tolerances, that’s not something the consumer should have to correct, but now that I’ve managed to make the necessary corrections without any breakages he’s just about the perfect Drag Strip.

I think they are feeling the pressure from FT and DX9, they are also redesigning Menasor, So is somewhat "understandable" I hope they will give us some problem-free parts with Gravestone... Something similar happened with TFM Menasor and the last member came with the fixes for Havoc.
