Thanks for letting me know who is coming after Breakdown. Do you know if BBTS has a per-order up for Wildrider yet. I don't know his Third party name to look it up so that is why I haven't seen Wildrider?

so this guy can stand alone without ANY cars? defo not feeling how the cars are on the back of the legs. I'm assuming menasor is made up of primarily the semi trailer?

 

Well I have Fansproject, TFM and now it looks like I am on board with XTB. I never though i'd get 3 different menasors.

Engineering on motormaster seems less complex than FP and TFM, and not like a jigsaw puzzle. But I expect that there will be a lot of mass shifting

If we watch the Starscream's Brigade, Motormaster somehow becomes bigger and reshape the inner frame of Menasor then the four cars simply attach to him.

 

Dang, after seeing these recent pics, I have gone from mildly interested to, "Guess I'm getting another set of Stunticons!" I absolutely love Dragstrip's robot mode, and Wildrider and Dead End's alt-modes. Not that Breakdown's doesn't look nice, but I already have some Countaches on my shelf! It would be nice to have a MP-sized Ferrari 308 GTB and especially a Porsche 928 (I love me the 928!). Amusingly enough, while I'll always think the four front wheels of Dragstrip looks goofy in alt mode, I've always liked how they look on his shoulders in his animation model, so its nice to get a robot mode that accurately captures that.

And managing to get a Motor Master that utilizes only the cab but still managing to look like Motor Master is pretty brilliant. Now to figure out where to eventually put them.

The worst part is, there is a part of my mind that's thinking, maybe I should pick up a Coolsville and J4zz to display in alt-mode with Dead End for a whole Porsche theme (especially bad since I already have Downbeat and I pre-ordered Bounceback, but those would be displayed in bot mode). That and, "Well, if you're going to double dip on Stunticons, why not do so with the Combaticons? Even though you've committed to UT, but were gonna grab Zeta Brawl because you liked the look, why not just go all the way?"

 

And if XTB didn't do it this way fans would complain. I mean... they'll complain anyway, but they might be positively frantic if XTB didn't make the cars go on the back of the legs rather than the front.

 

Or you know, maybe some people want the cars to actually be the legs and arms

 

Is it just me, or , in that pic showing the back of combined mode, does it look like Motormaster is just shoved inside a large shell that consists of the front and lower torso of Menasor?

Wait, what? I didn't know that. Are the alt modes larger than carbots as well?

 

They're shorter than Shockwave and seekers. Alt mode looks a bit larger than MP Wheeljack, but not substantially. You can see for yourself in the third and fourth pics in the DX9 thread.

So menasor is almost assuredly a stand alone figure that you plug the cars onto.

Hot garbage, big fat pass. Once this is 100% confirmed my preorders are getting flushed. That's the shittiest, laziest way of making a combiner, accuracy be damned.

 

WHAT TIME TO BE ALIVE!!!! I'm tempted to get this. Price is good for this to be a "fling" and not a deep hit on the wallet. I love the Stunticons

I'm actually ok with Menasor having just shells attach to the arms and calves. Especially than have that than a Fansproject jigsaw puzzle. I didn't find TFM that bad though, kinda enjoyable.

Thanks for the info. They do look taller than standard carbots, but not as tall as a seeker. Interesting.

Regarding XTB's Menasor, I really don't care if he could stand by himself without the cars on him. If he looks good in combined mode, and the individual bots look good in alt and bot modes, all is forgiven.
