I want the set to be affordable. If Motormaster costs an arm and a leg, I'll have four nice decepticon carbots but I'd rather he be affordable so I can have a Menasor instead of just some carbots. I don't see how dropping the second trailer makes the set suck. It's completely extraneous and not needed in any way. The base mode is completely forgettable. Including it would just makes the set cost more and most of us would just leave it in the box so it's better to just save the money.

This piece looks great. X-transbot has the best alt modes. I am not a fan of keeping TFs in alt modes, but this set is just incredible, if X-transbots decide to do regular Autobot cars, I in for buying.

Yeah, I don't want to pay more for that crap, I don't need nor want it. Where is that from anyway, that base mode, is that purely Xtransbots idea, or is that from an episode or something? Maybe I just don't remember, but I don't recall there being anything like that.

Other than Omega having his obvious base mode.

And if you want to count Metroplex and Trypticon. :)

Placing bets now, when do you all think we'll get Motormaster? I'm thinking summer, like July.

Maybe not, and I know this is like beating a dead horse :horse:  but in the comics they were shorter. Not all of us go by just the cartoon. In no way trying to be snarky, just saying. I also wanted to use the word snarky, because I like that word for some reason. :)

I hope Gravestone costs an arm and a Crackup leg. Then it would only be $110. It would suck if it cost an arm and a Flipout leg for $130.

Yep. No stripes in the toon. Maybe Toyhax/Reprolabels will make a set of labels that includes the stripe at some point.

fwiw, if I wanted the stripes, I'd buy a toy deco of the figure before I'd buy a sticker pack. Sticker packs belong in back in the 1980s. Everything should be done via paint these days.

A toy deco isn't always guaranteed. What doesn't work for you may work just fine for others.

The g1 toy had a base mode. All four of the "original" scramble city team leaders (motormaster, silverbolt, onslaught, and hotspot) had one. They, along with g1 metroplex, were originally supposed to be a pre-transformers/offshoot diaclone toyline that allowed all four of the leaders' base modes to attach to metroplex in city mode (you can still do this if you have all of them).

When g1 metroplex and trypticon came out, hastak added little grey connector accessories to trypticon so motormaster and onslaught could attach to him in city mode while in their base modes.

Titans return fort max and titans return trypticon homage this g1 feature by allowing you to connect Overlord, powermaster prime, Soundwave, etc in their base modes to the city modes.

As a big fan of base bots and citybots, the base mode for gravestone is nice, but I'd rather do without it because for me, it would just be a constant reminder that we're never getting an in scale mp trypticon to attach that basemode to.

Naturally. My comment was in the context of the hypothetical where we're given a choice between the two options. Given the choice, I'd take a product deco'd from the factory over a user-applied dress-up kit. I can almost guarantee we won't see yet another repaint of this team, especially not for the minimal variance that is the toy deco. Regardless, I wouldn't touch a sticker set. ymmv. Others' mileage may vary. That's a given that should go without saying.
