I just sent XTB an email inquiry. I don't expect to hear from them for a little bit considering the time of year for them but hopefully they'll respond when they're able to.

 

To be honest it's not a fun transformation. But your milage will vary depending on your comfort to patience levels. The legs at the knees are probably the most problematic. So, if you take the plunge be delicate with the knee connection to lower legs.

That helps from a weight distribution point. @jimmyh offers replacement back plates so you can skip Gravestone being involved. I have two of them and I can't recommend them enough.

But the knees where they connect with the lower legs are the squirrelly part. It's held on by one tiny screw.

Mine originally sheared off the first time converting it to combined mode. Barely touched it and the screw snapped off in the knee. Granted Xtransbots fixed me up with a replacement thigh with screws.

But if you look at many of the pictures here and you'll see a small but noticeable gap. Its poorly designed. It should have been a form of mushroom riveted fastener to hold the two parts together while allowing rotation.

 

Hi there, What is the correct way to change the legs to have the cars on the front? Do the feet need to be unscrewed and the the legs rotated? Just wanted to double check with someone who had already done it so I don't break anything. Cheers

Question: I have Gravestone, and would like to just display it in alt mode, but I don't want to buy the trailer. Does anybody know if anyone has made just a stock/non-transformable trailer?

 

I don’t think anybody has, unfortunately. And I’d suggest just buying this trailer but it’s kind of too big. I think you might need to track down a Road King to display this the way you really want. And then just sell the gravestone to recoup some of the cost.

I got a KO MP-10 trailer off aliexpress. Then I designed and 3D printed some panels for the sides. Took the entire trailer apart. Glued the 3D panels to the trailer halves. Painted the whole thing dark gray. Got rid of the trailer "feet" and 3D printed those other adornments. It was ALOT of work to make. There's no way I could sell them for anything close to a reasonable price. I'd have to ask more than the cost of the actual Monolith trailer.

 

There is a KO MP-44 trailer coming. That would probably be alot easier to customize into Motormaster's trailer since the sides aren't as detailed and textured as MP-10's.

 

Can the limited edition of overheat be used in place of the black version for g2 Monolith? The MX-16R i think is what it is

 

Yeah any of the Overheats can be used interchangeably. I’m using the black G2 version in the toon version of Monolith/Menasor.
