if you rotate the wrists in a clockwise direction, it would stay tight.

you will loosen the wrists if you rotate it anticlockwise

So has it been speculated anywhere as to when the Youth version of the trailer will be released?

I like the "car" chest piece that is part of the Youth/Toy version Menasor but I want to keep my G1 toon set and not go all in on the youth set. If I just get the youth motormaster will I be able to combine it with the G1 toon limbs to get the the youth/toon car chest look in combined mode?

Not that I heard of but glad I held off as this version looks a lot more appealing to me.

You'll want the Youth Trailer, not Motormaster. Motormaster by himself will not achieve the look you're going for since he forms no visible portion of Menasor.

*edit: but yes, once you have the Youth Trailer/Toy Menasor frame, you can combine any XTB Stunticon limbs and Motormaster with it. Whether they're the Toon, Toy or G2 versions, all will work mechanically with the Trailer/Frame. The colours may not match well, depending on your combination of figures but mechanically, they will all work together.

I've been waiting for Toy Dojo to get the trailer in both as a way to give them my business on this one and also as a way to punt the decision on whether to actually get it or not. Now that they have it in, I went ahead and ordered it. Hopefully it'll exceed my low expectations based on all the information I've gathered from this thread and elsewhere. I figured at worse it'll be a good looking Menasor permanently standing somewhere in my basement. That's kind of what most of my giant bots (MP combiners, Titan class figures, DX9 Omega Supreme) do anyway.

Thanks. That's the info I needed.
I meant to I DO want to keep my G1 set. I've corrected the typo in my original post but I think you got what I was saying. Thanks.

    Any ETA on
    Youth/Toy Trailer?
    G2 Motormaster and Trailer?

I probably wouldn't go in on another full set, but I might, MIGHT, just for the Youth version trailer depending on what is included and if they refined/worked out the kinks from the current Toon version.

I received the trailer set five or six days ago (Thank you, netclow!).

Within a couple of days, and maybe an hour or so of frustratingly fidgeting with it got it to combiner mode.

It looks good, that's for sure. I have the (now-) usual complaints/defects.

I don't really know what to feel about the set. I'm afraid to transform the combiner body again (also pretty damn certain there are no excellent combiner-to-trailer videos), so I'm looking at taking up a LOT of space for a carefully bubble-wrapped robot plus large box to store.

I think the limb-bots were relatively free of any defects or wear, but I never was able to pull apart Porsche-guy and Not-Dragstrip, and never understood what the issue with Not-Dragstrip's shoulders were. He looks pretty impressive, but converting the trailer is positively nerve-wracking and the opposite of fun.

I guess if someone were interested in a complete set and was willing to pay close to original MSRP, I'd just sell 'em. I have that same old, "Why do i buy these, again?" question stuck in my head.

So, my last KFC/X-Transbots purchase wasn't a bang: It was a shoulder shrug.

Finally got my trailer in courtesy of Toy Dojo:
    gs with trailer.jpg
I'm in no rush to transform him (full confession, I still haven't gotten the chance to fully combine Atilla yet either)

I am amused that each Motor Master is as long as the trailer of the next one:
    mm step x3.jpg

But some more black truck photos (sorry I just didn't have the time to transform Black Power Baser and TE-01B to truck mode):

I actually think your comment was clever and helpful.
Just got in my toydojo trailer. Going to attempt it soon.

Full disclosure: While I like XTB's Stunticon cars, and Menasor better than FT's, I still think Roadking is the better looking Motormaster.

But holy hell, his trailer looks downright, laughably too narrow!

That is a mighty fine collection of Motormasters there.

So, in the second picture that's FT on top and Dx9 on the bottom? I didn't realize there was such a size difference between the all three. I knew Dx9 had the bigger trailer but the other is kind of funny.

6CFC7B37-2B53-4FA8-961E-C6DD76A72FA3.jpeg Nice pics up there! Those comparisons are crazy!

I am about half way through. I got the upper half done. Going to do the legs next. I’m using a YouTube video which is pretty good. Goes straight from trailer to combined mode.
