I may be biased, but I think the mouth decal sells it.
Isn't that the toy deco though?
No, there's an actual reissue too
X-Transbotsv MX-12A MX-XIIA Gravestone - Reissue
That's a UK seller, but affiliated with TFS-Express. There's bound to be other listings
Have you tried pulling apart the feet?
Thanks old chap! Got Dragstrip arriving in the next few days, the other two on preorder so not dropping until June at earliest though... Can't justify the cost of Motormaster yet (although will get him eventually), so going to come up with some sort of custom back filler for the time being.
As for Bruticus, yes well spotted as an OS Warbotron, and cheers for the compliment! I couldn't get a good enough match for Swindle's colour so did a total repaint of both him and the foot in Kobra - Mele yellow spray paint (I hate brush painting yellow).
Vortex is a repainted and modified version of the original Jinbao helicopter...
Started customising him in 2019 and just finished this week! If you are interested, further details on his evolution are on this thread: Heavy/Scratch: - Combaticons (MP scale)
Thanks I will check that thread out. I’ve painted one foot and had printed the waist/head and just need to sort the rest of the chest. I’ve got the adaptor port to allow UT Winterchill to go on the Jinbao set.
You may want to look at David’s post above where he has provided the link to Omegalock. Motormaster (gravestone) at a decent price. Worth PO’ing it with them if you are UK based. I think you can put a 10% deposit down. The link again is:
X-Transbotsv MX-12A MX-XIIA Gravestone - Reissue
Do you think I can get more spread?
My bad dude, upon closer inspection I think you did just fine.
No problem! Did you go with the Shapeways upgrade kit? Looks Given the price, Warbotron is a great base for customising, do like the look of that adaptor myself, but was going for the toon look without Vortex's tail poking up (although it does nicely mirror how Blastoff's nose sticks up so much on the other shoulder).
You Sir, are a scholar and a gentleman! Totally missed the original post, and not likely to get him for a better price anywhere.
I'm wondering if anyone has successfully sold thier accessory pack? I'd like to sell mine but unsure if there's an actual market for it.
I would presume that people either bought it or not.
Unless you sell for a big loss, I doubt it. Some that didn't buy will have done so because of price. Others will just not want it.
If you don't sell for cheap, leave it sealed up, or as pristine as possible. Then wait until it's sold out everywhere and list it for cost or a small profit. It'll disappear quickly then. Hell, wait until XTB's done with the whole thing and the supply is dead, and you might even be able to sell for a decent profit!
As it stands, you can probably still buy this at the price you paid, brand new.
Still waiting for my replacement hip piece, but man... He does look good up there. I had to install another bracket just to support his big ass. Hopefully Monolith doesn't take a nose dive and murder me.
I saw bobbyskullfaces review of xtb and dx9.
I mean it is hard pick who is better, but xtb for me is the rolls Royce of the menasor combiners.
even then I am still happy have FP and TFM
Got mine today....so far I absolutely hate this thing.
Transformation aside, leg bots won't stay in and leg panels keep coming loose when moved. Without any arm bots or motormaster attached it is already falling backwards. Ankles have jack crap for forward articulation so i am having an issue getting even a decent looking A stance going.
I've had this thing less than 24 hours and i am ready to sell when the accessory pack comes in. Ship this bs right back out.
Well maybe not Rolls Royce, more like a Lotus, Great looks but never quite works.
Lotus = Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious
FP tiny Menasor was a pioneer for it's time. It basically kickstarted the whole combiner craze in the TF community.
Didja rush thru the various steps?
Have you tried consulting any of the available online reviews?
Bobby pretty much nailed it with the comparison, XTB is better looking but frustrating and not playable, DX9 is by far a better action figure. Not much more to say about it, it all depends on what you're looking for.
Now we'll have to see how the Fanstoys one will be.
Followed TransformIntoAGuitar's guide step by step.
I'll look again but just doesn't explain the back heaviness without MM or armbots.
I got the shells and put them on and my theory was proven correct: Firs the arm panels snug right up without gaps.
most importantly he gains a lot of balance form the added arm weight. I can actually keep I’m free standing on granite now.
I think he was originally designed to use the shells before people complained is why.
