Where did you get that decal sheet from?
Uncle Billy Store, they have metallic and gloss purple cartoon style logos:
2019 Ocean Studio Transfomer Cartoon Style Metal colour Decepticon Loge Clear background Water Applique
For some reason that site is the only place in the world that sells them it seems
Yeah, it's strange. BBTS used to have a selection of the Ocean Designs decals, but they eventually just sold through their stock and never kept it refreshed.
Same here, I was afraid to transform it again after all the negative feedback about Fansproject Diesel, breakage at the waist, etc.
Good news, everyone! After a second transformation he's quite well balanced. I still think he'd have benefited from less mass in the top half.
The bad news: those of you who dislike complex transformations may need to go through it a few times to get it right.
How? The first pic looks like you haven't snapped Dragstrip in properly so maybe you've got extra space between him and Menasor's arm.
These pics have me waffling on my accessory kit preorder. Arms look pretty good. I hope the eyes show up better in person. They look dead even though their painted.
Superstar! Been searching for ages without luck. Cheers bud!
Yeah, they're on eBay too, but don't show up automatically. Even when you find one, if you search for seller's other listings it comes up dry. It's really weird, in fact it's disappeared from my watched items now too...
Man it's great to feel nostalgic.
There are Dead Sea scrolls that are shorter
Three hours to step through the transformation for me The final combiner is very impressive, I think it’s much better IRL than in pics.
base mode is rubbish and the transformation is a horrible pig. There’s too many fussy bits, not helped by a very poor instruction manual. The torso clips down onto the waist section and by god mine seems *extremely* tight. Not looking forward to forcing it apart again.
but yeah it looks very good
Thank you very much for taking the time to do this.
Moderators, is there any way to put this in the original post, or some other way to find this quickly?
He looks badass combined. Still think the combiner torso could do with some black paint, but I'm sure the sparkly plastic looks better in-hand.
Oh God, don't remind me of that thing. I love complexity in a transformation (I actually enjoy mpm ironhide, yes I am deranged), but Diesel was truly the most unpleasant figure I have ever handled. It was a rickety, badly designed clusterfuck that felt like a faberge egg.
I'm probably gonna skip the trailer TBH, gravestone cuts an impressive silhouette by himself.
I went back and looked at the Toybox Soapbox Breakdown review/598 interview for this quote:
"I loved that you can assemble the G1 combiner in a few minutes. I wanted that for Monolith. So you can go back and forth between the modes without having to allocated part of the day to getting it done”
Reading about how complicated the transformation is and that it's taken some people THREE HOURS, I'm guessing 598's original vision was a casualty of the redesign. Damn base mode.
Oh boy... I'll keep the trailer attached to the cab for that look until BobbySkullface and Emgo have a review and transformation up, aside from Bens. Sometimes going back & forth between them, like I did just recently for that Xtransbots boost (windcharger), holy god he was a complicated pain in the ass, and multiple tolerance clearance issues.
Any rumblings when TCP will get the trailer in, anyone?
I’m a big fan of BSF; but I feel there’s a 70% chance he’s not going to transform it right and then hate it from lack of stability...because it’s not transformed right.
Great review, looks great and good to see the arms, hands strength and stability holds well.
I look forward to his talking to the camera in a subsequent video's Housekeeping segment to mea culpa, mention how he got a ton of feedback about how he transformed it wrong and, while wiggling his stubby sausage fingers for the camera, quips, "LOOK WHUDDAYA WANT FROM ME, MACK".
I have a ton of decals and waterslides, but I definitely want to get a Decepticon emblem for this guy.
