I don't think we've seen @ibot on the forums since just before Chinese New Year. No updates on their wiebo page since then either. Hopefully all is OK.

The trailer is almost certainly going to be delayed but hopefully we at least see some activity on their accounts soon even if just to show they're OK.

It's not the clearance issue (even though no one is a fan of it), its the (lack of) plastic quality. Even after a replacement for my broken shoulder you still see the cracks in the plastic. It's simply not the right plastic and not strong enough based on the size of parts and the number of screw or pin holes to hold up. Screws are eating into the plastic. I ultimately recommend just not performing the wheel flipping step at the top of the shoulders AT ALL. Once I files down the joint on the front clip on the car it folded fine without issue. I received mine with the shoulder broken in the box before transformation so you know it really is just poor quality plastic. Again, I believe everyone shoulder received entire replacement shoulders for both arms with the trailer. Almost everyone has the cracking issue and that is before transformation. 598 transformed it and the shoulder wheels with no problem and you would assume MANY times as he has stated in the past. We were all worried about that clearance issue before it came out. I would not be surprised if there were plastic changes or other production issues somewhere later. The plastic looks like it has swirls from the top in places, almost like an internal delamination problem. Where it sheared it appeared to want to flake apart. One of the problems is with the smaller design of that part is that the part also just had to do too much comparative to the shear stress required.

There's also the stress marks on the hinge in Gravestone's waist, right? From what I understand, it's a softer plastic than the rest of the bot. Also, I've heard that the clip in the middle of the body that keeps the torso and the legs together is made of the same plastic, and for some folks it gets deformed enough to no longer actually hold the two parts in place; is that common?

I also emailed them to wish them well but haven’t heard back. I really hope they are all okay.

BTW, if you click on the @ ibot in your post, you can see that he last logged into these boards on Jan 31.

From the XTB weibo page, dated 27th February and translated by Google...

"We are expected to resume after-sales service on March 1, 2020. Started officially. The customer service has completed self-isolation, and daily routine temperature measurement + health code test after work. The backlog of after-sale years ago will be dealt with one by one."

Looks like a return to normality us on their horizon, which is great news

Wow, they're having their employees temperature checked (and whatever health code means) after work every day? Makes sense but just kind of sounds surreal. Not looking forward to the virus taking off in the US.
