If they improve Eligos enough (not just the aesthetics) I might buy him instead of the new Quietus... I like my bots with more ratchets!

Hey, I tried looking for a specific pic of the mini abaddon showing his scale, but I couldn't find one. If someone would be kind enough to take a pic of the mini abaddon next to a titan master, I would be greatly thankful. Bonus points using Titans Return Galvatron's Megatron titan master!

 

I wonder why Toyhax hasn't made a set for Eligos, I'm sure it would make him look alot better.

 

I dunno. Personally it's the unpainted plastics that let Eligos down and stickers won't fix that. Keep wondering if he could be disassembled and painted- but man, with all of the folding panels that rub together it'd probably be a paint chipping nightmare, lol...

 

I've been wondering the same thing about FT Sovereign.

It's a shame that Andras and the swarm pack (XTB Sweeps) got the premium paint job but not Eligos.

 

I really don't understand the complaints about unpainted plastic. It's a transformer. It has parts that rub and bump into each other. It's going to lose paint and then it'll look awful. If it's molded in the colors rather than painted, you don't have that problem. Besides, Eligos is made of some nice shiny plastic with a good deep color and a low translucency, so it looks great and doesn't need paint.

 

It seems many of us disagree that Eligos is made of good looking plastics then.   Unpainted plastics are fine, but in the case of Eligos, to me the plastics look cheap as compared to many others- this has been discussed at length here I think but I'll comment again about how, to me and others, especially the face and other parts on Eligos look like plastic shampoo bottle plastic. I am not politicking for paint simply for the sake of paint. Many plastics look just fine. I wouldn't be thinking about paint at all if he didn't look like such a cheap plastic toy on my shelf compared to other figures...

But, opinions man. Lol

 

Hm. I just grabbed my Eligos and compared him to Sovereign (a tough bot to stand up to but life isn't fair, right?) and I see what you mean. I still think most of his body looks fine but I definitely agree that his face looks too soft. The way that just enough light permeates it to make the edges look soft. Thanks for ruining Eligos for me. Guess I need to get Quietus now.

This sucker screams "paint me!!". Specially the milky pinkish plastic. I had to paint the face on mine to be able to stand it.

Painting his face makes a world of difference. Some examples:

These are made of durable plastic resin and are an exact copy of the stock face. As such, these are really only intended for those that don't want to paint one of their original Eligos faces. Like most of my custom items, it's just something that I (or one of my friends) wanted initially. After that, I offer them up to anyone else that may have interest.
