You've cherry picked one picture from the Internet (which actually looks more like the original release than this one). There are dozens of other examples where those parts are grey, not sky blue.

I wanna like this, I’m fine with metallic, but somehow the really dark blue just doesn’t look like Scourge to me, and hopefully they don’t really have those dead eyes. I’ll wait to see the final product but I think I’ll keep waiting for a Scourge.

Exactly. I used to look forward to their releases but now look forward to seeing what they screw up.

Though they are on a bit of a downward slope, QC-wise. I'm betting at least a bit of that on the pandemic stuff, since stuff on that side of the planet is still running a bit rampant, a bit moreso than here stateside, that is. So i'm not dropping the ball on them yet, personally. But here's to hoping Astrotrain, Brawn and Drag Strip fare well for me.

That hadn’t even gotten close to affecting them when Prime, bee, and even hound released.

    We're talking about HasTak.

As for Fanstoys, I'm not a believer that they're perfect but they easily run laps around HasTak.

yyyyyyyyyyyep, cue that L, taken, haha.

But yeah, agree with HasTak, yet I obviously sincerely hope they do improve.

And yeah, what I said earlier about Fans Toys, leeeeeeet's just say insert that here, haha.

I don’t own the original, so you guys can comment on whether it’s improved or not, but to me doesn’t look bad, looks pretty smooth tbh.

I have an original down stairs, it definitely seems improved. Looking forward to switching it out :)

Minor changes to the face, plus accessories. Andras has his targetmaster, the 3 Sweeps each have one toon specific item, Metroplex's eye, Trypticon's transformation cog, and a ghost Starscream possession costume.

The 4 bot picture is Scourge (Andras) plus 3 Sweeps (the bundle pack). Andras is separate from the others.

This is based on the original, may or may not be changed. Even with the light turned on his eyes still looked mostly dead out of the box, the light is allowed to diffuse too much. The simplest fix I saw was someone stuck a piece of foil in his head behind the light to reflect the light and direct it towards the eyes. Lights off are what you would expect from light up eyes without power.

I actually prefer the original colours. Does the reissue come in both colour schemes or just "toon accurate"?

I hope this isn't like the original Andras test shot video that XTB/598 Robots did a few years back where only their copy conveniently appears to have easy looking feet transformation.

I almost wonder if the deco on this was based more off the Caha4rcter MOdel art and less off the toon. The darker colour, using silver for the dark grey bits.
It is a very weird deco and not on that really appeals to me.

I may pick up a used V1 if they start to crop up on sales boards, but otherwise, I think I'll be waiting for FansToys to do one.

Having said that, I've always wished I could pick up one of the XTB figures with the Starscream add-on, just as a fun piece for the shelf.

I think the new color scheme looks pretty cool but not enough that I'd want to own it. I don't go in for slavish toon accuracy but I do like my MP figures to look like the characters and this one is too much of a departure. Not that it really matters - I already have the v1 and wouldn't be replacing it even if this one had the perfect paint job.
