Tempting for the single one to go with FT Cyclonus and Galvatron. I expect some more FT images of their Scourge within the next week, due 2024...

 

Dumb question peeps, what is the difference between the individual 3 pack n andras? size?

 

Am I missing something here?? The preorder pics show 4 bots for $400. Why are people saying $400 for 3 bots?

 

I've almost bought the various Horrorcon restocks at TCP so many times, but I'd be thrilled if holding off meant having a chance at "fixed" versions with white.

I’m surprised FT haven’t panicked and teased one again. Probably photoshopping a silhouette of XTB’s as we speak.

 

I have them and I like them a lot! But metallic G1 cartoon versions of them would be a welcome addition to my collection too!

There's also a preorder listing for Eligos on Baba's website, using images of the original figure. Their listing for Andras also uses the original figure, so I think there's a strong chance it could be for an intended T repaint also.

I've calmed down a bit from my earlier disappointment, but the main things that are off is the dark, and the silver thighs which aren't accurate to anything. Overall it also seems like it might be too shiny a metallic and will stand out from other figures, but that could be down to photography and lighting. The movie screenshot shows blue thighs which this doesn't have. I think there were occasions where he had grey thighs in the series which I guess is what the silver is representing, I just feel like the silver looks a bit too "extra", and would prefer if it was a bit more muted, even something like the metallic on their Flipout/Wildrider.

I think I'll probably still get them as the fixed foot transformation probably swings it over the originals, and maybe I'll paint the thighs if they bother me that much in hand.

 

Here’s hoping. The only reason I haven’t bought their cyclonus yet is that they teased a metallic repaint similar to FT’s 2 years back, and now that these guys are coming in metallic paint, I’m definitely waiting on cyclonus.

I don't know where XTB is getting the silver legs from. Neither that nor the darker blue is toon/toon movie or toy accurate. It's good to know the feet are fixed though. I feel they should have just reissued the original color Andras and Swarm pack with more durable paint and improved feet transformation.

The lack of fully articulated fingers is shamefully missed opportunity on TE-01 Prime. I feel there's no excuse. Otherwise it's an amazing figure.

 

It would be even cooler if it worked both ways.  

 

While i'm far from actively looking around for a Scourge. Gonna keep my eyes on this new redecoed reissue... Interesting...

 

I get where you're coming from but I honestly think this looks better than G1.

Fanstoys have found some success being highly inspired by G1 but not slavishly (their aproportions a tend to much more heroic than G1) and I think this minor deviation is for the better. Takara has lost my money between their "It's so G1 it hurts" approach and their ridiculous pricing. A little silver paint that, honestly, is a break up of color isn't a deal breaker.

 

Not to mention their ridiculous pricing AND declining quality.

 

You've cherry picked one picture from the Internet (which actually looks more like the original release than this one). There are dozens of other examples where those parts are grey, not sky blue.
