I used a clear backed ocean dry transfer label. Expensive, but I'm happy with the result.
Ill check those out. Thanks.
Ill look around.
Quick question... Does the V2 come with any replacement parts, or was that V1 only?
I have a V1 that I'm ready to open up, but thinking about swapping for a V2. Just not sure that it is worth the trouble...
Still has the replacement Shoulder sockets like the V1 in a bag.
sold my v1 and got v2 coz i love apollyon so much i juz got to have him!!
My v1 got factory scratches on the gun barrel, forehead, thigh cant clip on properly due to tiny screw on his rear(hard to explain).. gap in gun mode , both arm super easy to pop out and loose. must install the replacement socket and he got not-so-obvious dimple chest.
As for V2, everything is the opposite of V1. I NEVER change both arms socket, i juz "futured" the hell of it on all joints..arms, knee, leg, etc..... it can hold up nicely even with fusion canon attached. I did transformed him few times.. so far so good....Im happy with V2 ... there's even a protective sticker on his chest(which v1 lack of), i had to peel it off to stick the decepticon insignia ...
V2 makes V1 looks like factory rejects.....seriously..
Has he arrived yet? I'd be lying if I said I hadn't considered doing this at least a little bit...
Please tell me how? I can't get his cannon arm to go that far out and up like that. Is it possible with the replacement ball joints? I haven't installed mine yet but man that's a great pose.
Use the replacement joints for sure. Mine can hold any pose without fear of the arm flopping back down. They are great.
While replacing the ball sockets you can remove the sections at top of his arms that hinder the range of movement. It's simple to do and they can be put back in quite easily for transformation. It'll look like this.
That answers my question. Thanks!
I think based on this figure, 3P companies have a really good foundation for improving him...
Been lurking on getting one forever, and finally I'm jumping in and just bought Apollyon. I went to eBay and seller said it was 2nd run. Hope I don't get screwed. Went with eBay b/c of 5x eBay bucks, so I will get $16 back.
So the differences between v1 and v2 are a piece of plastic covering the chest? Sorry if it's been asked before but I didn't want to go thru pages and pages to find what's been said about that.
First page/post has a listing of the differences.
Anyone know how to score replacement joints? None came in packaging and X-Transbots hasn't returned my requests. Also, I'm second owner so I'd got o retailer if I could.... but I can't.
Made Apollyon my first figure to open in a long time and he looks amazing! This was the first Transformer I actually tried to transform in a while and man... My body was not ready
Anyway, I used Future on a few of the loose parts (front chest panels, right wrist, left forearm swivel panel) but I have a few questions on fixing a couple of other QC issues (Not sure if there is, but there should be a post with all fixes for this guy):
1) How do I tighten the back cannon? It seems to continue to fall over.
2) He seems to be leaning a tad to the right going by the gap I see under his waist section on his left side. Is this normal?
3) The front swivel pieces that end up on the inner-side of his legs: The right leg one goes flush against his leg, but the one on his left leg doesn't.
4) I just applied my first waterslide sticker ever (Needed 3 tries), but after some dabbing the sticker seems to still have bumps on it. Is this normal? And if not, anyway to fix this? Or would I have to start from scratch.
You need a bottle of decal setting solution from a hobby shop or somewhere, and a needle to poke any air bubbles under the decal.
Great photos. Makes me want to go pose mine a bit more.
