My Right thumb was also floppy. Shoulders are tight, but i hate the way gun mode refuses to tab together and stay together.

I had to tighten the thumb, the panel that holds the canon on the arm, his ankles are looser than id like and pitting the Silencer on scratched my Pistol barrel up.

I dont buy 3P as a general rule, but i wrestled with the same dilemma... i saw pics of Leader Megatron with his arm pointed out to the front and his arm becauseof the joint was well below the top of his shoulder area of the chest...while i love the Leader head better, the obvious choice was Apollyon.

Those add on kits still dont make him tall enough and does nothing to change the fact that it's still a Classics figure, and not a true MP. If you have the budget and want a MP style Megatron, buy Apollyon.

Whilein all honesty im not thrilled with buying something non official, he is overall a decnt figure, and while mine has problems, it is growing on me and he does fit with the official Masterpiece figures. Just, he seriously needs his faction symbol to break that huge ass chest up.

On a side note, he does look awesome next to my Hasbro MP-10, and when he's on the shelf where he belongs, he looks awesome next to Soundwave and his minions...just need the rest of the 84 Cons now.

 

damn, didn't realize there is a film on my v2. He has some minor scrapes on the chest but I thought it was just how it is. I've had him for a few days and already slapped on the center logo.

I should double check for the film when I get home tonight... will have to waste that reprolabel, but I got more  

 

Still waiting on Chosen Prime to get in Apollyon 2nd the wait is killing me.

So what's the proper tamiya color for this guy ? I did the leg mod and I'd like to paint those little flaps.

 

Has anyone extended Apollyon's leg/feet in robot mode to give a bit more height? I did this recently and in my opinion it lessens the 'squat' look by increasing his height by almost an inch.

 

It also makes him look like he's wearing Capri pants. No one can look tough in capris.

 

Yep it does make him look like he's wearing Capri pants. Now if only a 3P can fix that or just make some boots it would solve the squatness.

 

I think I would have went with high-waters instead. Capris are stylish, which is why a lot of people wear them. Megatron with extended ankles doesn't look stylish at all, but tacky, which is what high-waters are.

 

I don't see the squatness of him, he's as tall as MP-10, and I think he looks good the height he is.

 

Yeah, stock Apolly is a beautiful thing.

 

Does anyone have an Ocean Decepticon label (appropriately sized for Apollyon) that I can buy from you? I need to get a label on this guy!

Ok, so I was able to improve the hammers tabbing together by doing two things: (1) I had to shave down the peg of the ball socket piece a little bit (you can see in the picture where I basically sanded it down so it's not as thick), and (2) I didn't screw the hammer piece in as tightly as I could when I put it back on. This allows it to maintain a little bit of "give" so the pieces can tab in correctly in gun mode.

I've definitely improved it, but don't know if I've totally fixed it so far. Try at your own risk!

 

I do customs, i don't plan to transform him much more, but if i decide to tackle it, ill keep tbis in mind. Thanks.
