Giga also teased an Omega Supreme and canceled a Grimlock throne. Giga had renders of all the Dinobots early on but it took quite a bit of time to get them out. I have the whole set and love them but am pissed about the throne getting canceled. It is 100% sure now that Giga is like the early companies that made their money off of one thing but aren't going beyond that. They have done quite well continuously releasing the Dinobots.

 

I wish there was some way to know if the Toy and Cartoon versions will be the same shades of green and purple, if so they could be mixed and matched. I would lean towards the toy colouring in general, but would quite like a purple mixer drum on Mixmaster.

I guess I have to sit and wait for more reveals, which doesn't really fit the pattern of behaviour Fanstoys has encouraged in me of panic preordering before it sells out in 30 seconds.

 

It's XTransbots, they are definitely not so prolific as Fanstoys, and their preorders are usually available for days, if not weeks.

XTB is far more prolific as Fans Toys.

 

FT hasn't had a figure sell out quickly since Smokey at the start of 2021.

Being prolific would only apply to output. For better or worse, XTB gets more product to market.

What is going on with XTB lately? How many releases have they had this year? Eligos, jansenn? Was the G2 trailer this year? I thought I saw they're rereleasing wheelie? Where is that dead end reissue? Are they waiting for fanstoys to finish theirs?

I'm glad that they made them big unlike their Stunticons which are carbots size (and that's the main reason why I'm not going with XTB Menasor) I think that all combiner bots should be bigger than carbots.

 

Hmm, neither have the lanky nerd aesthetic of the toon, but maybe that's for the best.






Definitely a "wait for the reviews" situation for me

 

I think XTB Scrapper is better but still they could engineer those green shoulders and not put them as swappable. I just don't get it. VL is too bulky for my taste. I don't mind bulky bots but it just doesn't work for Scrapper.

 

The XTB version looks the most toon, but with better proportions and some technical detail to keep it all interesting. The Sunbow model is trash, I am glad not every 3rd party company out there is just retracing the cartoon designs.  

 

I gotta say as much as i hated xtb menasor im actually pulling for this and vl for that matter. Constructicons/devy are glaring wholes in my collection. Toyworld is out of consideration and ft will be a minute before they even get to it. Come on keith do us proud!

 

Also XTB got 80 likes and VL 28. So it's 80:28. Very convincing victory for XTB.

 

Why would you want the shoulders engineered as green vs swappable? People like choices and the fact that it can achieve multiple looks with one figure is a Win!
