That's 2 for 2! Bobby's on a roll this year. Though to be fair, both figures are known for their breakage.

True, but Dodgy said it best about this review:

And I can't help but think:

Welp, here's crossing my fingers for when my figure arrives!

Just curious, is that even a common breakage point that BSF had issues with? We've seen legs snapped out of the box and I believe arms breaking off during transformation, but I think those connection tabs are a first? At least I don't think that has been widely reported issue

    So….how bout them Fanstoys?

But seriously, does BSF handle his FT figures this poorly?

Yeah, man. He treats everything like that lol. Go watch the PX Cacus Review or 01 Studio Cell review. The man is a brute, but he's not just picking on XTB. That's a weird thing to say given how many breaks he's caused. Go watch the FT Brawn review if you wanna see an FT figure get tortured.

The way he just forces the top of the truck mode down with nothing but brute force as the materials literally scream is something else.

I thought it's a common practice now before buying a toy, watch a few reviews from different person. It give me some better idea about the transformation difficulty, what's the size, how is the build, and what other people thinking about this toy.

This is the proper way but due to FOMO especially due to bad timing, raised prices later on or shortages a number of us are also quite guilty of jumping that gun.

It's really not. Haven't watched a single "reviewer" in almost 5 years. Some do, I guess more power to them. Nothing spoils the experience for me.

All I need is whiskey and the instructions. Most of this stuff is common sense IMO. Have not yet encountered anything that makes me seek help or guidance elsewhere.

Looks like i just need to stay away from tank mode and those clips will be just fine.....

Been awhile since i bought an Xtransbots figure....but this thing has the heft of an FT bot.

The one thing that hasn't changed is how tightly they pack the box the figure comes in....lol.

Companies should just start sending their figures to BSF to see if it passes the hamfisting stress test......and if it does, you bet your ass to expect a sticker of "BSF QC PASS" on the final retail copy. THAT should provide added assurance to buyers on the build quality of a company's figure and relieve some concerns :)

Most but not all. It wasn't until I saw Emgo's RP Cassetticon video that I saw how to transform Rumble & Frenzy's legs correctly as I nearly bent the leg trying to fold out the double hinge. The instruction manual had the transformation from robot to tape (but it was packaged as the tape) and trying to use the instructions in reverse nearly had me bend the diecast and Emgo showed the little trick to doing it without harming the figure in a way that is not shown in the manual.

Good that it helped you. I never had a problem with my set TBH. Not the best transformation, and yes, FT's instructions often suck, but I mean, there are only so many moving parts with each step, it's really not that complicated.

Don't forget though. Check his older videos, BSF loves his XTB.

Is the breakage and problems with this piece only when transforming it? While I was not planning on buying this piece (how many Preceptors do you need?), concerned about there other releases. I have Xtransbot Stunticons, but each are still in car/truck (did not buy the trailer) mode.

And I generally agree with you. I just used that example mainly due to how simple and straightforward it appeared and how I nearly ruined it in learning that it was not as straightforward as it seemed.
