Seems like the hips are similar to how MP-44/47 have done it rather than the hip flaps that FT use.
I'd honestly prefer if that was how most figures did it from now on.

 

If the price is right XTB might become the logical choice for secondary characters even for FT fanatics.

FT not figuring that out has come as a surprise.

Just interesting to see XTB come out with 4 reveals this past 2 weeks and this one looks ready to release. Their team seems to be in high gear. If they can avoid a Locke repeat they gunna get that dolla dolla bills yo.

 

The Perceptor, BB and Brawn mini-figures must have been horrible in a past life to be reborn with those faces. yeesh

 

Reveals are great; I've preordered a few (showz so it wasn't dropping crazy cash) but XTB are no better than FT right now when it comes to delays.

FansToys wise loads of folks are waiting to finish Menasor with no idea what is happening; that's bad.

XTB wise the Locke debacle needs to be solved soon and many people preordered Virtus for a full payment up front and are still waiting for that to appear in some form.

I wouldn't go anywhere near another FansToys combiner project right now because of that uncertainty but I also won't spend fully on anything XTB again at all without seeing a quality improvement following Locke.

Both have work to do to convince customers and reveals - renders, prototype, or finished product - won't cut it until reviewers get stuff in hand.

 

Whoever poses FT figures is better at posing. That's for sure. Objectively they're very close.

I think it's safe to say this has been kept under wraps till near release. I guess they've left it till near release to reveal instead of having another Virtus and Abaddon on their hands.

 

XTB and FT are killing me, man. There is such a thing as too much!

I still like FT's portrait more but I think XTB may just be more toon accurate in a lot of regards.

If I could trust XTB's quality, this would be something I'd get excited about. But that question plus all those extras inflating the hell out if the price just makes me not interested. Hope he turns out well for those that choose to get him.

The miniatures are cool AF, but otherwise: easy pass.

Seems to have regressed back to the days when FT weren't getting the face right and were giving him oversized eyes.

Wow, this looks great. I already have Tesla 2.0 preordered, but the accessories with this guy might be enough to swing it in XTB's favour, depending on the price. (Or I'll get both, who am I kidding?)

I find it weird though that this version comes with an IDW head, but no sniper rifle, while FT's version comes with a sniper rifle, but no IDW head. C'mon, guys!

I believe they are supposed to be from the episode "Microbots" from Season 2 (ep.11). They shrink down and go into Megtron and they start to go back to their normal size right as they leave Megatron's body.
