Fanstoys have better head sculpts? I thought they were more well known for derpy head sculpts? Lol

 

Those mini-figs are going to be the size of Perceptor's hands. About 3/4" to 1" tall? I think that's a pretty good paint job for something that is going to be a fraction of the size of Legends figures. Hopefully the eyes are a little better painted, but they seem even smaller than the TakaraTomy humans.

 

They hired the original FT sculpter from when they first started making figures?

 

Can't even say anything other than wow, he looks really good. I think I prefer the more anime style face on fanstoys but xtb looks more G1 I guess, looks like my money goes to xtb.

 

I think, with the Ark now a thing... XTB could do all right making a full cast of small, moderately articulated figures much like these and Galvatron.

Do kinda wish he came with a small microscope.

I like the face sculpt... and of course the mini-figs... but what factory was this made in????

 

While I don't think he looks bad, he's too thick and his head just looks a little...off. I feel like the FT version is aiming more for the movie version

 

He looks good, but the accessories are FANTASTIC!! All the faces, the mini figures and the vials are great inclusions. This looks like a fun figure! Put me down for one!

 

Umm...have you even looked at XTBs release pace?

There are some figures they rush out, but they also take years for certain things.

 

Wish it had a transparent chest option like FT, only thing that kills it for me.

Interesting.My first thought is I’m not a fan of the faces. The wide eyed, small featured Baby face doesn’t suit me. Of the alt faces maybe one would be passable. I do like the IDW sniper face alternate though, that’s almost a must for Percy!!
And the kibbly surface detail is definitely aiming at the folks who want a more Hasui/early MP style. Personally I prefer the newer smoother toon aesthetic so I’ll pas but it’s great for those who are hankering for something different.
The accessories are the real innovation here. Those mini-figs are brilliant!! I’m genuinely tempted to get it just for those.
I’m content to keep my Tesla 2.0 pre-order but it’s great to see a company offering a slightly different style to please collectors.

 

Even down to the terribly drawn faces and eyes.
