Right so this just happened.. I thought it would be time to finally transform my copy of commander Stack. Started up Emgo's video and got to the part where he says to pull out the shoulders until you hear a click. First shoulder went fine other than having to use way more force than I was comfortable with, flipped out the little thingy in the shoulder and on to the other arm. Again got to the point where I had to pull out the shoulder and tore the entire arm right off... I appears the shoulder is pinned into the main body with one single pin and a strong one appearantly because it tore right through the plastic. I pushed the pin back in eventually after a lot of swearing, undid what I transformed so he's on his shelf again being pretty and all but now he's a very well articulated action master I guess...

 

Is this the best ultra magnus

 

The Fanstoys version looks pretty good, plus it has an inner white Prime. Until that gets released, this is probably the best currently available.

 

Do we know when fans toys release?

 

Who knows? A year from now, maybe 5?

Both options are valid. I'm getting both since I'm an Ultra Magnus fan.

 

It's the best currently available in Masterpiece scale. It's unlikely that the Fans Toys version will be as poseable as this since they don't seem to care about poseability.

 

Looks like the re-issue is $165 at showz, a lot more tempting than $200

 

They must of lowered the price as it was still $199.99 when I last looked. I ended up going with bombusbee as they were doing $130 before shipping so with it was under $160

looks good. that chest is just painted right? amazing what the right colors will do. i do wonder if anyone will put out a color matched chest piece as a standalone partforming piece.

 

I was OUT @ $200, because the need to replace my Butt-Flap KO was not that great.
But at $165, I'll take the hit!

 

this is my take. The white prime annoys me. But im glad those who dig it now have an option. Well not now, in 2056.

I did NOT see that coming......i held off because of possible QC and the big price. Now both are sweet.

 

Saw he was at 165, went to finally do the thing annnnd sold out. Cool. Old brickshithouse MP-22 will just have to do.

He went back up for PO, so I threw 2 bucks at it.

 

From the renders, it looks like it has the staple joints that we see in modern releases, so how would it not be as poseable?

 

If you feel burned, just think of those that bought three deformation seekers for $140, only for all them to be half price barely a couple months later.

 

So I finally transformed it for the first time. Toggled between Emgo, TMreviews, and Transforms into a Guitar as I went. Each had unique tips. TM, for example, helped with that scary extension of the double-jointed elbow: leave the wrist guard in place and just hella flatten the joint.



I’m generally not big on spaghetti transformations, but it wasn’t too bad. Sadly, upon hitting alt mode, I found some scratches on the white paint near the bottom around the grill. Never even got a chance to see it unscathed, and lord knows I was careful with the transformation.
