I just got my toy colors version in today finally. Before i go diving into the fun, is there a list of common defects and other stuff to watch out for?

I think I'm done with X-Transbots. I've gotten two figures from them and had nothing but problems out of both. I love the sculpt and design of the figures but good god the build quality is trash. Today a wheel just...fell off. The screw broke. I can't get the rest of it out of the hole to replace it so I'm fucked until Customer Service comes back from CNY.

The leg tabs breaking off inside the arms in truck mode, the silver of the tampographs rubbing off on your fingers, and the hinge for the flaps on the back of the arms cracking.

 

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah the tampo quality is kinda meh on this thing. Inconsistent. Some spots look good while others have some smears or low density like it didn't apply fully.

This thing is amazing though. Just sitting on my dining room table right now and I'm looking at it like damn girl, you fine. Only thing i couldn't figure out is how to get the ab crunch tab into the butt flap fully. In some videos it looks like the tab goes in a lot further than mine. I screwed with it for 15 minutes trying to get it flush but it wasn't happening





2 engineering marvels

 

The Sex Commander has arrived. Behold his eternal glory.

Thoroughly impressed that they engineered a transformable All-in-One Magnus that can hold his arms in front of his chest.
Can hold the Matrix WITHOUT THE AID of an extra pair of hands.

Though I will say it's a pain in the ass to get him to hold it like this.

I do love the hands, though. Splayable hands are VERY welcome.

 

As long as it's part way in the slot it's fine. How many times have you transformed it? It might go in better on subsequent attempts if you didn't line something up quite right.

 

I got it to fit this morning. Just a tight socket. It slides in easily now.

And yet the paint on my toon version is unscathed after many transformations. Such a shame they messed up the toy version.

 

Not too surprising, though. The toy versions are almost always afterthoughts, like Ebenezer Scrooge graciously permitting a starving Dickensian orphan child to lick the crumbs off his plate.

Mine came from TCP a couple of days ago. I haven't messed with him yet, but right out of the box, he's amazing. No cracked hip skirts or anything. He IS Ultra Magnus
