    Unexpected news, check.
one post saying they won't get it, check
    a great looking digibash, check
now we just need some g1 cartoon side by sides and this might be the shortest most complete thread ever.

I believe he is stating who he prefers to handle an IDW/Generations and MP version of the character. In no way did I take is as he knew that either company was making a figure. In no way did I feel that they were speaking for everyone just their own personal preference

'sorry xtb the table is full'? Explain that one then.......

Personal preference is one thing, that's just a ridiculous statement.

Looks great. How could you not love 3rd parties at this point? This will probably be the year I officially look to them as my number 1 TF source. I have yet to buy a Hasbro TF this year.

Nailed the look of the robot mode... However, after the expensive PoS that was Ollie, I am staying well clear.

Did Beachcomber have a gun in the G1 series? I vaguely recall him having one in the episode where the Insecticons got big. However, I'm pretty sure if he ever had one it didn't match the one X-Transbots gave him.

Otherwise this guy looks great & shows that X-Transbots has improved on its engineering. Hopefully QC is there, but we won't know about that until the figure starts to come in.

I love Beachcomber... and I love the look of this. The Unexpected Panda digibash looks cool.

I have no experience of X-Transbots... what was the quality like on their Pipes/Huffer and Wheelie?

The arms are too short and the head is too big. As much as I love Beachcomber, I'll have to pass on that one.

I think the head size looks perfect. Make the head smaller, and the proportions would put him in line with every other warrior 'bot out there. Instead he's the lanky little hippie geek like he should be.

This looks really good. They've handled the alt-mode really well, and it also showcases how difficult an alt-mode he actually has to adapt, since real-life dune buggies are mostly empty rollcages. The alt-mode looks the part, but they've managed to get a solid looking robot build out of it.

Head size and proportion look good to me. The final colours and QC will make this figure. I was so looking forward to Megasteel Blaster but the colours were awful.

Yes, please. This is dead perfect. Love Badcube but I don't think their aesthetic would work with BC here but hey, I'm sure there are others who think otherwise.

It's great to have a table full of choices.

Apollyon will determine if I continue to buy from X-Transbots. I have their Wheelie and he is great, after he is fixed of course.

At first glance I assumed the lower legs must be completely hollow on the inner calf in order to make a decent alt mode... imagine my surprise on seeing the 3/4 pics. That's a darn solid robot there. Looks great.

Thanks for the colors Panda! I... didn't... expectAHNEVERMIND

Love Beachcomber, hate XTB. Hopefully they are taking the steps to improve their QC with their not Megatron and I can start getting excited about their new figures again. If they contine with their past QC standards on Meg's, I have a feeling the backlash may be too much for them to deal with. I will keep an eye on both of these projects with high hopes they have changed.

Exactly. XTransbots has not earned my trust, at least not yet.

With all the third parties jumping on the MP train lately, I have no problem waiting for a quality product.

Lol so saying 'sorry xtb the table is full' isn't trolling? Especially when you consider there are ZERO MP Beachcombers?

Whatever you're smoking to come to that conclusion ....I want it. Welcome to the ignore list, enjoy your stay.

Oh dear, I really want to like this, but I have XTB Stax, and it's... not good.
It's the reason I haven't ordered Apollyon yet.
XTB- I like the designs, but hate their execution.
Maybe the reviews will change my mind, but enough people said Stax was great, and he isn't. So I'm just going to watch this one for now.
