I don't think we've seen all this info and/or pics yet have we? I know we saw the downshot of him on the table, but these generally look a bit more flattering. He comes with 2 targetmasters, one for MP28 which is interesting. Updates from ShowZ:

Yeah, he looks pretty good and definitely wins in alt mode but I think Koot looks a little better in bot mode. And even if Locke were an upgrade, he wouldn't be enough of an upgrade to be worth replacing Koot.

 

Gotta say I do like the inclusion of a sharkticon tale. Still looking forward to this, hopefully CNY followed by covid-19 hasn't delayed it too much.

There is one thing which isn't a deal breaker but does strike me as odd given XTB are usually pretty show accurate with their sculpts. The front of the alt mode is missing a section below where the Autobot logo would be, effectively a front bumper. This causes the chest to be too short and the "abs" too tall:


It's unlikely this late in the design stage, but if they could add that extra section it would improve the chest/stomach proportions to be closer to the character model.

I really hate how shiny he is. Koot is in no danger of replacement at this point.

 

I'm sure he'll get scuffed up pretty well once you start playing with him. Then he'll be perfect!

@ibot Are those final colours? Lots of us want it matte colour to match our Hot Rod figures, not metallic shiny.

I agree with you about those points.
His abs can be a little bit smaller.
Then that car part of his chest can be added.
We'll see what we get.

Lovely that they added a target master for my mp-28 Hot Rodimus.  
I sold off Hoodlum. Didn't like his high shoulders. And the car mode is bleh to me.

 

Yeah even if you like his colors, and some did, it would not fit with anything.

Now a more muted metalic might be happy medium.

 

And lots of us think matte colors look cheap and boring and would prefer a more metallic look.

Yes, this. Metallic but not super shiny stab you in the eye metallic. A subtle metallic. Like the metallic white on the Aegis reissue would be nice.

 

Sure matte may look cheap and boring, but I just want to have a cohesive collection, and my Hot Rod and Magnus are not anything like that.

 

I'm going to go on record as saying that sometimes I really dig metallic paint. I didn't even mind it on their Seaspray, and I know a lot of people were complaining about that.

But metallic paint seems somehow out of character for Kup. I'd prefer a faded matte paint for him.
