Would be cool if they included a fanny pack
Hell yeah. Put some chapstick, nasal spray, and the medicine he stole from old humans for fuel in there.
Looks great, thank you ibot.
I have FT version but will get this too, as I like the different takes on a character. Especially so if they are cartoon accurate.
My limit is 2 of any character though, at least you can have both bot and alt modes in display together.
Man we are so spoiled.
I'm okay with it. "Flipper hands" mean they'll be sturdier and it might help keep the cost down. I'm sure fully articulated hands are more expensive to manufacture and assemble.
Thank God they got rid of those flimsy hands that you are afraid to touch
As nice as they look the ones mp10 and smaller are always loose. Can’t even hold a gun
That's why I'd honestly be happy if more companies included swappable pre-posed hands.
Toy World's Leia got at least that part right IMO.
This SO much.
No matter which camp one is on, pre-posed hands are the future.
TT, 3P, and all companies should follow what most Toy Companies are doing nowadays.
Sausage fingers utterly suck.
I want pins in all the joints. I don’t want a bag of hands
I love that idea
I had a finger pop off Trailbreaker, and I didnt care enough to put it back on.
FansToys fingers on their bigger bots are amazing. But for smaller bots, yeah, pre posed hands would work.
yes!!! movement on kup looking good @ibot
This is great! I am excited to see the prototype of their Springer also.
Koot really grew on me so I'm in no rush to swap (especially with his new custom posable hands I got off some dude on here!). If this ends up being as solid, looks much the same but can also manage a decent transformation, however, I could consider swapping out.
Nope. Balljoints for the first knuckle are the way to go. You get much more natural posing that way. I love the hands on my KFC Ditka, Transistor, and my XTB Apollyon before I gave him to my nephew and I bought the aftermarket KFC hands for MP10, MP13, and I put a set of the MP22 Delta hands on my Reximus using adapters I designed and 3d printed and I plan to get a set for THF Magnus when he arrives. It goes such a long way to making them look more natural. FT and Zeta have those hands where the base knuckle is pinned and, while they're nicer than flippers, they can't splay at all so they come out looking weird. Balljoints are the way to go. I don't understand the "afraid to touch them" thing - do you guys swing your expensive collectible toys around like a gorilla?
But I probably shouldn't have opened this particular can of worms. Locke looks great and I suspect he's on the smaller side (I'm betting around the same size as FT's, though if anybody has heard otherwise, I'd love to hear), and I do agree that smaller bots don't need fingers as badly as the larger ones (I haven't bothered betting after market hands for any of my carbots). It was just mildly disappointing to look at the old renders and see fingers and then the new renders with flippers, especially since XTB hands were always the cream of the crop.
Oh, and I have C9 QB who has articulated ball-jointed fingers though they're not as nice as XTB/KFC, and I have the X2 kit for my CW Devastator, but that's a whole other ballgame given how big those hands are.
Finally some progress on Locke. I like the action pics but waiting on some static pics to comment on proportions.
or lots more action pics from multiple angles. Right now I'm, "It looks good but what about from this angle or this angle or .....etc etc etc."
And the Award for "Most Random Prototype Photography Background Ever" goes to…
It's been tough passing on Koot. There is temptation there and I'm struggling holding off for this version. It is my opinion this one will not only have a better transformation than loot, but to my eye's looks better too.
They are bad, but not that bad in my opinion. Overall I think it still looks better than koot.
