Did you add pictures of the defects?
That will be good, would be nice not to be fleeced out of more money for a change lol
I'm Chinese, do I have to send it back?
Overseas Chinese aren't Chinese. Those with hukous only
Well you had to pay for return shipping. I kept mine, I'm OK with paying shipping especially since I'll combine it with other stuff.
Yeah the notice that you didn't need to return it went out the day after I'd sent it back. So at least I'll get the replacement at no extra cost hope they get it in soon
Their thread on here can be the best place to contact them because they're very active here.
What exactly is the process for returning my falling apart Locke? Purchased through showz who had like a Google form to fill in with pictures but now I don't know anything else and not really sure what the process is?
Best ask someone from Showz in their thread; all depends whether you bought from a retailer, ebay, or whatever. If it's a retailer it should all be arranged with them.
For example I bought from TFS Express (shipped from the UK). They didn't require a return but have asked me to pay the UK shipping when the replacement comes into stock.
It seems that there is a video review already... But I can't find it...
@daimchoc @Cheem The Rup Do you know something about that?
X-Transbots Locke (MP Kup)
TFS-EXPRESS says just a few more days.
Holy shit, that looks like the most unfun transformation ever!!
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess you've never owned mp05 or BC Wardog.
Unfortunately I do still have a MP-5 though its been several years I dont recall it being especially bad.
I shot TFS-E a message and will wait to see what they say, as I haven't had an email about it. Think it was the last thing I bought from them prior to them switching to Omegalock for UK stuff. Wasn't 100% sure who would be handling replacements actually.
Anyway, bit odd that video didn't do a bot mode comparison or articulation checklist, but oh well. What is apparent though, is that while their look to be improvements in the build quality (fingers crossed), XTB fixed some of the cosmetic issues only to overlook or introduce new ones! I mean, it's great that the abs are now painted, that the chest piece is painted slightly more faithfully, and that the circle on the back in unpainted, but what the hell are the windows about? They're not accurate to anything I've ever seen for the character. Also, given the literal months they've had to resolve this stuff, would it have hurt to make the colour of the waist and and arm cuff accents a more yellow/gold? That bronze-ish colour is just weird. Also, to make the accents on the shins grey/white, but not the feet (and painting the little fins for some reason)? Plus keeping the face/hands the lighter colour?
I know stuff looks different under harsh lights, but there are literal reference for these things. I just don't get how companies (and it's not just XTB) can overlook them, particularly when they're pointed out.
Anyway, semi-rant over. I will of course be happy if the wrists stay locked (no pun intended), the knees and legs don't feel like they're gonna break (and work as intended), the neck piece clips in without being warped, the hands can actually hold the weapons, the Targetmasters aren't pure garbage, bits don't fall off, the don't mix and match screws, the thigh sliders work, and I can actually transform the damn thing. XTB has a long way to go to regain my trust after this figure, but I like the look of a lot of their upcoming stuff, so here's hoping!
I got a message from them that they will contact me (I am guessing after the 15th when they get their stock) and I will have to pay shipping but they will send to me. I never sent my original back so that is fair.
So rather than use paint that won't rub off x-transbots want to to keep the plastic film on the figure all the time? Anyone else get a red flag at that one?
What the actual eff are they saying?! Don't take the film off cause our paint is terrible? Beggars belief.
I heard back from TFS-E today and sadly it's not as positive as I'd hoped. Anyone who ordered from the old UK site will have to wait one to two months for the replacement, as XTB refused to send them by air, so they're on the slow boat over. Still got a long way to go to win that goodwill back XTB!
