Don't get what that has to do with the plastic.

Not sure what you are trying to say here. He complained about the build/engineering, but he DID say the plastic was GREAT (starting at minute 29:20 in the video) . No it wasn't, at least not on my friend's copy. And many people complained about it too here.

I liken it to old, hard cake icing. Not quite hard, not soft. Couple that with some extremely heavy parts, and youve got a perfect nightmare.

 

My friend isn't a strong person, but he was able to tear the plastic from the abdomen section with his bare hands. It's not as easy as paper, but XTB certainly used some weird plastic this time around.

 

I'm not really sure why people seem to have expected locke to look much different from the 1.0. They only said they were re engineering some trouble spots. Locke was never going to look any different, the test is with the materials and how well it'll hold up in hand

 

@ibot How come you guys still aren't painting the abs? I'm pretty sure everyone thinks it would look better (and certainly more accurate) with painted abs.

Yeah, looks great but i'm gonna need a bit more info and this in action before I bite.

 

I'm going to hold any judgment, until my replacement copy comes in.

The new pictures are nice, but I want to compare it with my first copy to see the improvements.

Wish they painted the abs too.

I still feel like the open mouth should have been painted in.

 

imo, that's really difficult to pull off. Obviously the mouths aren't deep enough for natural light to cast a proper shadow, but if you have the mouth painted and then some directional light on it, it can look really wonky.

 

Dont know why they kept the painted face. My neutral face has the nose scuff. Pisses me off.
