I agree with @MysticFortune and it's not a stretch to believe XTB will pass on the cost as he suggests. Maybe not as obvious as $200 dollars a figure for v2 but they will spread the recall costs out over future releases, 100%. To think they wouldn't do it is naive.

v1 buyers are safe, though. So at least there's that.

TFS-express got me to return mine for repair at cost of shipping so I'm expecting the same to get new one back from them.

If you have a friend who says stuff like this, you probably need a new friend. There's scoring brownie points and then there's boot-licking. This is embarrassing and nobody who actually bought this figure would say something this dumb.

Yeah. There's a difference between a few people having issues and something being universal trash. They're not going to simply replace EVERY figure for anyone who claims to have issues. This is a pretty egregious case and replacing across the board is clearly the correct choice.

 

My girlfriend used to be a reporter and every time I mention to her that some of these people (especially on Facebook) actually seem to want to become friends with the social media editors for these manufacturers, she reminds me that this is why it's so easy for politicians to corrupt actual members of the media. It's bad enough when some shill who works for a cable news network writes some glowing, fawning piece where they kiss the ass of a politician, but it's even worse when it's some random guy online trying to cultivate a relationship with a toy manufacturer.

I don't know if they think that they'll obtain some kind of private access to information or if they just want to say something counter-intuitive to stand out... but either way, you're both right: it's nauseatingly laughable and pretty tone-deaf to pretend like this is going to set some kind of new, industry standard where tHe InMaTeS rUN tHe aSyLum because a larger manufacturer released one of the biggest duds in recent memory - after increasing the price, at that.
