Damn,, X-Transbots seems to be on a roll. I love everything about Herald. I just wish Crosscut had been in the original toyline and animated series, but there's nothing Keith & Co. could do about that...

 

He meant your memory of the Diaclone/g1 days. In the original, the blue Diaclone figure that became Skids had the hood bulge but the silver one did not. That's because the blue one was the turbo variant of the car and the silver was the non-turbo. Skids is inaccurate for not having it but Crosscut was never meant to have it. It being present in the render was a mistake on xtb's part.

Try not to get so testy about things.

 

Tbh I thought the accompanying picture would have helped clear things up for him but I think it's clear I've upset him in the past and the angst is still strong. You've put it in a much more pleasant way than I would have

Okay--THIS is the one I want. I always liked the E-Hobby Crosscut release when he came out. And since I really hate Skids' face on this mold, Crosscut becomes the perfect choice.

 

It's precisely why I felt they could have made the silver one be the turbo instead. but it's fine. would be neato if they included a second hood so we had some options.   and yeah the black plastic gun barels turn me off a little. Does X-Trans not chrome their stuff anymore?

Crosscut looks a lil like an Alternators Star Saber to me, even though the inspiration really works in reverse, with the old Diaclone Honda City R and their facemasks influencing Star Saber, instead... perhaps.

So, I’ve got my eye on this guy unless he winds up being 25% or even more expensive than Skids.

 

Hm, I wish they'd given Skids weapons the silver treatment, but I'm not picking this up for that minor detail.

I do like my Skids (Savant) though, so I hope XTB make some more money from the design, they deserve it.

Ha, totally. Maybe that's why I like him so much. Skids is kind of boring to me but I like this one. The silver deco and the Star Saberish head...yummy.
