Holy SHIT!!! This is bringing back memories!! I had forgotten all about the Omnibots until NOW!!

I can remember saving my old UPCs from my various purchases and ordering Camshaft and Overdrive as a kid!!

With the upcoming release of XTB Virtus, I thought I would finally be done with my collection goals.

But now I may have to bite the bullet and purchase these!!

 

That'd be me alright. While others sometimes faulted toys that didn't match the cartoon, I always felt it was the cartoon that misrepresented the toys!

The omnibots were great figures. It seems like a waste that they didn't do anything with them on the show. They were much better than some of the toys that came later. I always felt they were too good for a mail-away promotion. On a completely unrelated note, is there any reason why Tracks has the same gimmick? He could almost be part of the same group.

 

I (and I'm sure many others) have also thought that before. I think the omnibots are a smaller scaled than the regular autobot cars. Im not sure if tracks is or not. If he is, then maybe he was an omnibot! The tracks and the omnibots were all diaclones that were unused in the 1984 pick.

 

Great to see the Omnibots get MP love. Is XTrans only doing 2 omnibots?

They said they're doing all three- presumably they're just not far enough long on the last one to have anything to show.

 

That is exactly what they said actually. At the show, they made a note that the 3rd one's CADs weren't finished.

 

After springer, I’m convinced these will come with 42 blast effects, a massive plastic disc, a flight stand, 10 faces, a base mode, and be $300.


(That aside they look cool)

 

I would have waited an eternity for this.

What if Xtransbots makes you pay in robot points???

 

Updated MP Powerdashers, and Kronoform, now we're talking!  

 

Tracks is much bigger. I had both if memory serves.

 

How about each omnibot comes with an mp powerdasher and an omnipoint. Once you have three omnipoints you can mail away for a free mp kronoform.

Personally I’m not interested until the premium edition. I’m gonna need real air blast effects coming off the wings, light pointer shooting out of hood guns and a stand with a laser light show and Quintesson voice clips.

I won’t pay any less than $300 XTB, I hope your listening!
