The Tech Spec bios for Krank, Stax and Hoss recently revealed that there are two more guys named Sonic and Ollie. I'm thinking that Sonic is Windcharger and Ollie is Tailgate.

 

Only 2? I was hoping there'd be at least 10 more minis.

EDIT - Okay, with the recent reveal, Sonic might be Windcharger and Ollie might be Wheelie? Add to that Krank (Huffer), Stax (Pipes) and Hoss (Road Ranger). Nice little team.

Lots of potential for redecos. Tailgate, Rook, SG Rook, SG Huffer, Dion and Shadow Striker all come to mind.

 

I am down for Windcharger and Tailgate as soon as they put up pre-orders  

 

I'm really curious to see how X-TB handles windcharger's head. Are they going to put it in the silly cartoon box? And how do they depict the toy face, the mask? They did fantastic with Krank, but Windcharger has perhaps the strangest of the "minibot" faces. How do they create that option and make it look good?

 

A realistic Firebird/TransAm is definitely a must for me. Certainly as KITT. Now I need someone to make a Gen 4 Fbody version of Hot Rod for me to match my car.

Well, we already have potential decks as Windcharger, Tailgate, Rook and SG Rook.

 

I have a feeling that is just a shader effect for CGI animation (with Sideswipe). I have been watching these guys with baited breath, & I have seen this picture on their Facebook page. I have a feeling that this is a quick render for a test shot. I saw this type of thing in older video games. To give something the look that it’s chromed, you cover the 3D mesh with a secondary skin call a ‘shadder’ (which makes it look reflective), & then a primary skin over that. What that will do is make the top skin look like it is chromed regardless of how it is colored.

But I can’t wait till Huffer comes out. I will be eating cup of noodles for a long time, but it will be nice to get a copy of him. I am still not sure about his face sculpt though. The mouth looks a little off to me.

 

Any news about this lately?

 

Well, I know the Ruination add-on, Hoss, Ollie and Sonic are coming out from X-Transbots first, so it's still down the road.

Also, we know X-Transbots has teased guys that look like Galvatron, Cyclonus, Ironhide, Scourge, Cosmos and Beachcomber, so Windcharger is probably mixed in there somewhere.

 

Their Wheelie is next so we either won't get any till he's progressed or till after he's done. I'll update the first post once we do since they haven't even named him yet let alone shown a new render or anything.

 

I just need a Windcharger for my Masterpiece collection. And since there is a possibility there won't be one in the actual Masterpiece line a #rd Party will have to do just like Huffer. I'm using IGear Hench and Cogz as my Masterpiece Brawn and Gears, I can wait until Cliffjumper is repainted or remold of rumored MP Bumblebee. The big problem is Windcharger.

In one of their promo pics the silhouettes of Scourge and Cyclonus can be seen in the background. They also had a Galvatron planned at one stage so its assumed he'll happen eventually as well. He was even shown in super early prototype form a long while ago:

 

I know the image on the back of the box suggests Cyclonus, Scourge, Cosmos, and Beachcomber. Where did they tease Galvatron and Ironhide? Did someone say elsewhere that they've teased UM as well?

 

They teased Galvatron a few years back
