So I made the mistake of wanting to transform my copy the other day for the first time since purchase. The result is the little black peg that keeps the foot attached to the foot assembly sheared off. Looks like it was glued in the first place and not a single piece.

So mad. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I don't think I've ever in 20 years of collecting had a figure break. The transformation on this guy is awful.

 

Throw it out and wait for a better version from someone else!  


But in all seriousness, can you post a picture? Been a long time since I had that figure. You might be able to drill into both sides and glue a piece of metal rod in there to bring it back to what it was before.

 

I sold it this evening for just over half what I originally paid lol Think I'd rather hold out for a good figure of WC. He's pretty much a nobody, but I do like his design.

Got my "paint damaged" Boost/Windcharger from BBTS today. I'm glad I didn't pay $70 for this guy. But I don't really see any "damage" to my paint other than the edge of the window may not "exactly" match the color of the rest of the door. Can't tell the difference in 'bot mode so I'm happy. For what BBTS is selling him for it seems like a fair price. Just wish I'd got the other color scheme (darker gray body and white legs compared to the lighter gray and silver legs). But that's a minor quibble.

I'll never transform this dude again for fear of breaking just about everything, but I'm all set on Windcharger for the foreseeable future.

 

Mine survived a transformation from car to robot and back, I still can't believe I made it nearly effortlessly the first time  

 

I want to see either another company take a stab at Windcharger or XTB do a remold. They went for the real life alt-mode and I'd be interested in seeing how they would do a more toon accurate alt-mode. That's basically the direction my collection has taken so Boost is the only mini-bot who doesn't really fit in for alt-mode.

 

not into the chibi, no detail toon look, but, I do agree there should be the option out there for people who are going that direction.

 

I just ordered this guy off of show.z, the toon version. He should be here in under a month.

They also deserve the the same sentiment for designing the feet transformation of v1 Andras and v1 Swarm (Sweeps).

 

He makes it look a lot simpler than it felt doing it lol

 

always felt like a monkey trying to fuck a football transforming the feet on this thing.

 

I don't even know where to start with that....maybe try with the long end? it'll roll less easily

...I'd still take a Rook and Wipe-Out though, if XTB wants to do more redecos.

(Though I'd be cranky if we inexplicably got those before G2 Gravestone and Youth Flipout & Gravestone, but that's a separate thread.)

 

It's rather convenient for them that the transformation goes smooth as silk in their videos. I noticed the same thing during the foot transformation in their XTB Andras video. I guess XTB made sure that the demos used in 598's videos were the only trouble free copies.

 

I feel permanently tainted for having read that …colorful description.

I didn't have any trouble with the feet, I struggled more with the wrist area.
