I just received Paean and Aegis last night, and I'm ecstatic.
These are the most well made products by XTB to date.
I agree with some that the stripes are not done very well, but I'm not to entirely concerned with that given Aegis will spend most of his time in bot mode.
The transformation on each of them was done extremely well, and the tolerances were damn near perfect.
I've had my fair share of issues with both KFC and XTB products in the past, but these are a home run.
Their joints are great, the paint is great (aside from the stripes), the plastic feels better than any of their releases (even the junkions), and the accessories are well thought out and useful.

If anyone is considering getting these I'd highly suggest it. I'm not sure what could be done to make a better Hoist or Trailbreaker.
You guys should hit up Manolo or as he's known on the boards @enp27. He has a fantastic price for these, especially if you order both.
He also ships really fast and his communication is amazing.
I've been ordering from him for over a year now maybe two.

just got my hoist and he is very awesome. only nitpicks are the very fragile hands and the yellow stripes the paint is very thin. stripes i can fix with a little patience and tape and the hands i just have to be extra careful to not put too much force on em (damn my big hands :)  ) now bring on galvatron!!!!!!

I hate my softness on plastic TBH, now I going to change my material close to hastak , like MP22 or Supreme class movie devastator material, I wish our Klaatu can be better in hand feel of the plastic , like harder, and stronger.

    Thank you all.

Speaking of plastic, could you tell me if there was a specific reason for not using any diecast on Paean's main body? He is so stable, he could have easily handled it (and it would have given him a more premium feel).

Please don't listen to those comments. Diecast doesn't make anything feel "premium". Strategically placed is fine, but please don't just bloat your products with it like the other company.

Does the lack of arm articulation on Peaen bother anyone else but me? I am having a hard time getting past this when Lorry's is so much better. I am still trying to decide who my MP Hoist is going to be. I will be messing more with these two this weekend.

I own lorry & listed him on ebay (he's still currently up for bid ;)  ) as soon as peaen arrived. To me personally there is no contest what figure is better. Lorrys oven mittens are atrocious.

If these weren't coming out I would've went with bc trailbreaker and mmcs hoist.

I'm not sure how.much more articulation you want from a fat bot

You can also disagree with me in a friendly way. This is a forum for toy collectors remember? :)

It's maybe limited compared to Lorry (or other characters with top of the line articulation), but imo it's perfectly fine for a masterpiece representation of Hoist.

Thanks for echoing the plastic softness concern. I think a lot of fans agree with you that this could have been better. But every company has to start somewhere and Paean shows that you've improved vastly since those early days. Paean may be my favorite figure of '17 thus far.

Chest for sure (like the original Hoist); waist and legs would be nice as well; arms? maybe.

Obviously the use of diecast needs to properly placed and tested (or whatever you guys do to determine the impact on balance and movement). In general, when done properly I find that it always adds an extra dimension of quality to a figure.

Yeah I dunno,.die cast in the chest could limit the poses he can pull off by making him more top heavy. I'd be for the use of, for example, Diecast in the chest of Dikta to balance out the backpack but not just for the heft of the figure

But as I said Paean is very stable (because of the diecast and good engineering on the feet). And if extra diecast would have been put into his legs as well, he would definitely have no problem.
