Yup, only pay for postage. I recently got some parts and it cost me $6 USD I think. Got parts for their Overheat, Aegis V1 and white accessories for my VLE Aegis V2. Amazing service and parts reached me in less than a week

I used Tamiya Matte Black and Dark Green spray. I paid $10 shipped for a set of hands. Email service@transbots.net.

The new hands are dark grey. Hence why I painted mine.

    Thanks!!
Yeah, I knew you would have to paint the v2 Aegis hands green for for your v1 Paean.

My VLE has the laughing face and the silver dish so yes it should totally come with those things.

Just noticed the arms extend out from the shoulder a bit ...they are meant to do that, right?

Can v2 Aegis smiling face be installed on v1 Aegis?

I didn't realise this at first either but yes they're meant to, as it helps shoulder articulation.

I just got this as a gift. Is V2's transformation the same as V1?

Thinking of using a video to transform him.

As far as I know it's the same, as I've seen nothing to say otherwise.

To be honest, I managed without instructions or videos until it came to getting the leg panels in properly, so you shouldn't have too much trouble

Same except now his shoulders can slide out once he’s in robot mode to give more space away from the backpack

I'm a bit lost. Did they confirm a toon Paean, too?

    Thanks in advance.

I owned the 1st and now the 2nd. It's 100% the same transformation. Enjoy :)

I don't know what it is about Trailbreaker that inspires 3rd parties to do completely cursed designs. The toon version Aegis looks like a straightforward transformation, but it goes kind of sideways on the execution. Lots of having to slightly bend panels around parts for clearance, so many super tiny (breakable) tabs that go into barely visible holes. (On a related note: absolutely no tabs for the underside arm panels, which leaves the flip-out hand panels to freely flop around while you're trying to pose the hands.) And the knees are weird, and not really knees? Like, a ratcheted joint that's height-wise almost up to the hips isn't really a knee, and doesn't look great?

But OK, fine: it's X-Transbots, and you knew going in that they were going to pull this. If you're not trying to pose those knees, he looks pretty good in bot mode. They also manage to pull off an all-in-one transformation, which no one else has done. Assuming that his build quality holds up (which ... well, flip a coin for those odds), he's easily the best of a mixed to terrible lot. I'm not super in love with the white "toon" look for the weapons, but whatever, it's fine. Do wish the windows weren't transparent due to visible head and other bits; has anyone done cel-shaded stickers for that?

    Tinting or painting fully opaque?
I think the V1 Aegis has smoked windows so you can't really tint them blue. And V2 already has blue windows.
But if you are wanting to tint, @TylerB is right. Some coloured ink, or even food colouring added to Future can do it. Also Tamiya has transparent acrylics in multiple colours.

If you want opaque blue, you can put some white paper or silver foil on the inside of the windscreen:

More permanent, you can paint the inside of the windscreen white or pale blue.

For a full-blown toon effect, mask off and paint the outside of the windows an opaque blue, maybe even add cell-shaded effect. (Haven't done it with egis yet but..)
