Fortunately it doesn't look like it, haha. Personally if they were, i'd say throw it all to the wayside and just try to make this thing the most articulated piece they can muster.

 

I think these renders might be old, no? I'm sure I recall seeing them either online or maybe on the side of another figures box

 

Looks better than Blue Lobster X- Frank, that thing was like a statue instead of a transformer figure with no articulation. But I wish X-Transbots will give us some accessories like mini version of Megatrons gun mode or Spike figüre.

 

Well, I would prefer something like a production prototype by now. But okay. I guess they still are doing something with the idea.

Maybe a little but it hasn't been completely scrubbed down by the Toonthusiasm movement. There's still a little bit of extra detail in there.

Man, they should just include replacement face plates with painted eyes so you can choose between dead eyed lightup-ready or painted. I feel like I have to paint the eyes on every XTB release.

I’m surprised they only have 2 face plates too.
Does he have butterfly joints? It’s be nice to be more possible since he doesn’t need to transform.

 

I agree.. I say over articulate have panels open all over and load him up without sacrificing that articulation

Yeah. I have a PO in on him that I just dropped, but I really hope XTB makes it worth the $130 they're charging. One way can be seen below, haha.

It's a shame, I was really looking forward to this but this price is too much for a niche character that doesn't tranaform.

Preordered. I had gathered parts of MP sized figures to build one myself, but still needed some Trailbreaker parts before this was announced so I stopped gathering parts. It looks better than the Blue Lobster Autobot Spike which I already got.

 

I'd be interested in seeing your real Frankensteined fig. Sounds like a cool idea.

 

Thanks, I hadn't figured out the best way to connect the shoulders and legs yet, they were all parts of different figures and didn't fit together right, but I had the Head and torso mapped out, but not completed. If I find the Trailbreaker parts I need cheap enough I might start putting it together, it will take a lot of work so I have been putting it off until I have more time to work on it and search ebay for 3rd party MP Trailbreaker parts.

 

Prowls chest section should go down more, it doesn't look right, almost just a shoulder instead of chest and shoulder. Too toyish, not enough toonish maybe? Making him slouch down more might fix it.

Blue Lobster's has a better toonish look but none of the extra stuff XTransbots version has. And this XTB version has the colors right which is nice.

 

If you want I can post a pic of just the parts I've gathered to get an idea of what I was planning on making sometime. I started gathering parts over 3 years ago and got distracted with life after moving.

Considering it doesn't transform which means it has little engineering going into it, better be cheap.
